Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Robin's wise, as usual, ita. The simple fact of your presence will bring comfort, and as a wise woman mentioned recently in my live journal,

"Tears are not useless, and fighting them is a waste of your beautiful strength. If they come, let them come. Better than letting them build up. "

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hmmm, I've been to only one non-family funeral, come to think of it, and that was to a friend's father's internment, so I was there for her. It's not that I haven't had friends die, but the ceremonies were either too far away or kept deliberately small.

6:30 AM in Utah and I've been at work for half an hour. Granted, seeng the faint signs of dawn behind the eastern mountains was kind of cool, but, really, I'd rather be at bed with more House S1 DVDs to watch.

I'd have brought them to work to watch on my wide-screen flat-panel work monitor, but Hubby pouted.

8:33 AM here in Somerville -- I have to run get dressed, I'm picking friends up for a t/r/i/p/expedition to IKEA, where we'll have a $0.99 breakfast and then shop our little hearts out....

What is even happening?

9:01 here in Maine. I've been up since ass o'clock this morning; I don't have the paper; it's not beach weather and the internets worry.

How close are you to Freeport, Cindy? There's always L.L. Bean to take advantage of.

Not that close, but I'm close to kittery, which has tons of outlets. Plus, shopping with little kids is more work than fun. We've got to think of somethng not expensive to keep them busy.. We will, I was just hoping against the weather reports.

What are you doing this weekend?

Much strength for ita this morning.

Putzing around the homestead. I finally found some pictures I was looking for to do a mini-scrapbook, so I'll have time to get that out of the way (it's for a gift.) And contrary to the weather reports from earlier this week, it's looking awful nice outside so I may actually take myself on a wander through the local botanical gardens and see if I can find my brother's brick. Since he was cremated, we had a commemorative brick placed in one of the walkways at the garden. Only they've been doing a lot of renovation and they tore up that walkway. The bricks are supposed to be placed into a new location, but we haven't checked to see if that new walkway has been laid down yet. In a way, I'm hoping it hasn't because we still haven't bought a brick for my mother yet and we'd kind of like them to be side-by-side, if possible. So, reconnoiter time.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

What Aileann said, ita. I know today is going to be hard, but I hope you find some solace with the other Kravvers as well.
