Riley: Oh, yeah. Sorry 'bout last time. Heard I missed out on some fun. Xander: Oh yeah, fun was had. Also frolic, merriment and near-death hijinks.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Wishing weather-ma to the East Coasters in NY and downwards. I see the relief hasn't made it that far yet - when it does, it will go away quickly (we had a 20 degree drop in temp yesterday in Boston between 2-3 pm).

I can't even.

Well, I've heard all the fucks. I feel like I've had the good bits.

That was just brilliant. People continue to be strange, and kinda cool.

The rest of the Big Lebowski is great too. You should see it with other dialogue and when you're at least mostly awake.

Oddly, yesterday didn't feel as hot at the day before, though temps downtown were higher. It must've been the humidity. Either that, or all the concrete heat monsters in the park outside the courthouse were leaking a/c. I couldn't figure it out.

I feel a bit better, have showered, washed dishes, vaccuumed 3 rooms (sorry electricity), and taken out the trash. Next up, litter boxes, then I head out.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The crisis is over!! It's not even 90 here!!

My house is a mess because I've been conserving energy. That's why.

Hooray Friday.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I ADORE that scene, JZ.

I love reading all of your favorite romantic bits. It's cute...

I mean there are lots of moments of Teh Hawt. But romance is, as everyone noted, more idioscyncratic.

Robin! Based on your rec, we are watching Season 1 House. It's fun!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

House has been my Law&Order this summer -- when there's nothing else on, I watch House. Good times. I'm hoping to catch Inside the Actors Studio with HL this weekend, assuming it'll be rerun.

Oh, speaking of television and re-runs, if anyone hears about the next World Series of Pop Culture, could you PLEASE let me know? I have GOT to put together a team for that bitch.

OMG WHY DOES GOVERNMENT MAKE EVERYTHING SO HARD!!

I have this form. It has taken me 5 visits to an office to get it correct. I found out just yesterday I need it notarized. I am told by a worker in said office that I need to go to MY county clerk's office. So that is what I planned. BUT - THANK DOG! - before I head out I decide to check by ohone that I am going to the correct location, and have everything I need. Turns out - NSM the right office. I need to go to the County Clerk's office in Manhattan - 1 BLOCK FROM WHERE I GOT THE FORM!!!!

OMTG. I am so over traipsing back and forth through the city getting signatures and paying fees and never being given all the information that I need and generally dealing with incompitent people who do not care that they are dealing with major life events for the people who come to their offices.

there is not enough Jesusita in the world to express the degree to which I am over it.
