Xpost, but re: The Wire.
I do agree that the sex scenes, especially at the end of S3, were completely uncalled-for. Of course, by that time, I had so much goodwill towards The Wire that I would have forgiven them even if they'd found a way to have Omar actually jump a motorcycle over a pool full of sharks.
I admit I found the long one between Rhonda and Cedric at the end a bit Too Much.
There are plenty of ways to show that they are intimately involved without our, you know, being there for it.
But, yes, a lot of what Corwood said. I think it aims for a lofty target a lot of times, even if it doesn't always hit. Which I thought, at one time, was what made for an award winner. But I should have known better watching H:LOTS get snubbed.
(And sometimes it's really on, too. Hits perfectly.)
I know how he'd hit the sharks...a day at a time, I suppose.)
Announcement: I just broke my thumb nail down below the quick trying to open up a box from the Government Printing Office.
Announcement: oww. The GPO is now On The List.
To Erika: Yes, that one and Kima's overly slurpy one. I thought I'd accidentally switched to Cinemax.
Edit: don't we have a brand-spankin'-new thread for this sorta talk?
From Yahoo News:
Amid skepticism over Karr's account, legal experts have said that a DNA match was critical to the prosecution case.

So if the "legal experts" are right, it's highly unlikely Karr will now be convicted.
Maybe the prosecution will drop the case now....
Because without the DNA, they've got nothing but the say-so of a clear whack-job?
ION, do folks know that season one DVDs of
The Tick
animated series go on sale tomorrow?
People, people, people. When applying for jobs from monster and career builder and such, please change your cover page! My company is not an import business nor is it a law firm. If that's what you're looking to do, I'm gonna delete your resume.
Well, at least it helps me weed out the dolts.
that one, too, I suppose. it wasn't very...plot-serving or anything. Which is weird, because mostly stuff like that on that particular show, is, generally. But you could show Kima stepping out, without actually showing all of it. And yeah, should take it to Hamsterdam next time...Natter can kick our butts now.ETA: Which of the stompies do you think are more likely to Herc-and-Carver us?
