Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah, the pennies & bagels thing is a put-on.

I cannot even believe the O'Reilly/Rivera thing. Geraldo Rivera is condemning people in the media for pandering? Geraldo Rivera? GERALDO RIVERA?

Clothing issues: the defendent was wearing a white bubble skirt that barely covered her ass, one of those shrunken-belly baring one button jackets in blue seersucker over a black bra and white 4 inch stiletto slingbacks.

What? Her lawyer told her to dress nice! No, seriously, I bet she was dressing up the best she could.

Here's a question. The application I'm filling out asks me to fill something out if I've "graduated from college within the past 7 years and have less than 3 years of teaching experience." I graduated with my BA more than 7 years ago, but I have gotten a degree (or two) within that time frame and have been teaching for less than three years. Hmm. I might go ahead and fill it out (better safe than sorry) but do I include courses taken as an undergraduate (i.e., older than 7 years) or not?

My public defender friend is very explicit as to what "nice" is defined at for the reason illustrated above. Of course, a lot of the time, her clients are in jumpsuits, so.

Mel's a choob, eh?

Not nearly as much of a choob as Bill O'Reilly or Geraldo Rivera.

Time for me to write a bunch more personal yet insightful and revealing statements about my teaching style and educational philosophy which will demonstrate my true aptitude for teaching in general and math teaching in particular and which will delight and enchant the reader, while not being so specific or personal as to turn off ANY prospective employer.

It's not that I like interviews, but this whole thing is easier when I can tell if they'll get Buffy references or not.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

GERALDO RIVERA?

No inner dialogue. This is my new way to explain dumbasses.
