Now tagless for your comfort.

mac will not have to be tested for school enrollment. YAY! full language assistance integration into regular kindergarten classes. YAY! YAY!

That's excellent news!

Just read my invite--there's a fashion show fundraiser and everything. Mmmm....

edit

I can't really picture Kara Janx with a hammer. Maybe she'll make the curtains??

She's mostly there for the fundraising, ita. I don't think she'll do much building. It's part of a larger program called Women Build--helping women learn home building and maintenance skills.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

YAY mac! That's wonderful news!

Do you know when he's coming, msbelle?

And do you need anything for him? Toys, clothes, etc?

What is even happening?

Cashmere, you should go, anyhow. You get such a lift when you're involved in something you believe in.

Great news about your son, msbelle! I'm all about neighborhood schools. Have you had any more word on when you can expext mac to come home?

I will go to pick him up in 2-3 months. no more info than that.

I do not know enough about his interests and personality or size even to start getting things.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

She's mostly there for the fundraising, ita

That so wasn't me. I can make neither heads nor tails of this PR (it is PR, right, and not BB?) talk.

One invitee to the meeting came into their office at 9:33. The other is still absent. Meeting cancelled, as I continue to wonder if I'm doing this all wrong.

the school is half a block from my house.

That's great!

I've been hearing tales of confusing bureacracy about enrolling and getting assigned schools here from the kids in the neighborhood. It's so weird. Not surprising since the b'more city schools are all kinds of messed up, but jeez. Where I grew up, the school assignments were pretty much geographical, and that was it. It's still mostly true now. The schools are pretty much uniform in quality so seeing the vast disparities here just sort of boggles my mind.

You're going to be a great mom, and part of the wonder of parenting is getting to know all that stuff. Its so exciting! I tear up every time mac comes up.

when did you send the invite to the meeting?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ha! It was me, not ita. It is PR not BB, you have that right.

I just realized that the thing I thought I'd agreed to do tonight is actually not until next month. Huh.
