I had a visit from the can't-fall-asleep monster last night. Rare, thankfully. After mentally walking through all my childhood friends' homes, cataloging where additions had been made (man, those were some weird choices) and starting to drift off only to be woken by my incredibly badly-timed cats, I started mentally spelling "advil" over and over to keep my brain from working. Why? I don't know, it makes sense at 2 am. I fall asleep only to dream I'm a sushi chef who admits to not liking sushi at some weird dinner party/cooking contest and I have a petulant guest. Then there is a hurricane, then an earthquake. All is fine until meteors start crashing to earth and dad says "I think that was just the debris field" at which point I think this can't end well, screw insomnia and wake up. But I did get back to sleep. My internal thermostat is whacked, but other than that, I'm actually pretty alert.

Conclusions: cats are brats, I shouldn't watch things on plane crashes and I think I'm blaming it all on cesar salad dressing.
