If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

How long would your commute be, Sophia? A little extra time for Target trips and stuff isn't that big a deal if the work situation is ok. Also, how often do you work late? Depending on the routes, neighborhoods, etc., that could be a consideration.

The evil is this way?

Question for the group -- a co-worker is leaving to take a job with the same company in another city. I am getting the cake for the good-bye party. If the cake says "Good-Bye" it sounds retirement-like and she's not retiring. "Good Luck" sounds like we're not sure she's going to be successful in the new position. Should it say "Congratulations" ? Is there some other appropriate saying?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"In celebration of your life-change"?

Of course, that sounds like it's for a Wookie....

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

The work commute is an hour versus 35/45 minutes. They seem to run the buses so I could leave at 4:30 (my real time) 5:00 or 6:00, which is pretty much when I work. The nights I teach at the theatre, a bus leaves at 8:30 and gets me home by 9:15. The nights we stay really late, I can probably snag a ride home with someone.

That sounds pretty workable. And you'll save insurance costs too.
