Mal: Well, you were right about this being a bad idea. Zoe: Thanks for sayin', sir.

They totally should have left the planet defining alone. Everybody was doing just fine ignoring the elephant in the room and then some brilliant troublemaker decided to ask a bunch of astronomers for their opinions. And believe me, that rarely ends well.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I don't get why they're suddenly defining them.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ugh. I've worked out the daze. Upped Neurontin dosage. I've only been mildly pre-migraine so far today, but if I don't acclimate quickly krav is in jeopardy.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I don't get why they're suddenly defining them.

We keep on discovering stuff beyond Pluto?

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Well, a celestial object needs sufficient mass to pull itself into a round object, so only those rocks of big enough size end up being round. It's also thought that many of the objects beyond Neptune are mostly ice, and that if you melted them down, they'd be about the same size as many asteroids in the belt between Mars and Jupiter. (Stuff I learn on the Science Channel!)

Yes, tommyrot, that's EXACTLY what i mean.

Coding and Sleeping

We keep on discovering stuff beyond Pluto?

Basically. There are kuiper belt objects being found that are larger than Pluto. So if Pluto (also a kuiper belt object) is a planet, these objects pretty much have to be planets too. The problem is there there are likely a whole bunch of these things.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

If you have a definition where Pluto is a planet then there will probably be dozens of planets before long and there will be 8 major planets and all the minor planets.

If I listened to the man on PBS correctly, this is pretty much what has happened. There are now 12 planets.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

But it just doesn't matter. So why do it?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

but if I don't acclimate quickly krav is in jeopardy.

Will nobody think of the kravvers?!

ita needs a migraine stopping superhero. Maybe after their powers have been tested thoroughly on ita and her head doesn't explode we could loan the superhero to Betsy.

I bet Green Lantern could stop a migraine.
