'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It's been months since I had a Tasty Kake. ::sighs::

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Of course, reading this conversation reminds me that I don't really like snack food.

Punishingly Intricate

It's been months since I had a Tasty Kake.

One of my favorite car and any other place snack foods! And something I was glad to have again when I moved back to the Mid-Atlantic.

I love snacking!

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I don't like eating in the car. When I have to, I generally pack mixed nuts, fruit (usually a baggy of assorted berries), candy (M&Ms), and water.

Reminds me I don't tend to buy snack food. Unless you count cherries, but that's only a couple months out of the year. Then I'll have guests and so I'll stock up on stuff not to subject them to my unintentionally minimalist eating habits. Then they leave and I'll eat the stuff (usually) but not bother to restock until the next round.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My default mental car trip is 18 hours with 4 kids in the car, so food is kind of a must.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'd say valium is even more of a must in that situation.

That used to be mine (well, more like several 8 hour days and camping) until I drove from NC to NM in 2 days on my own. That's now my mental roadtrip.

Nah, not when you've got The World's Greatest Travel Game! Also, it helps to take the trip every year, starting with very young kids, so that they're good and used to it by the time they're old enough to be annoying. Oh, and the car should be a full-sized van, so there's room for all 6 passengers to stretch out.

Yeah, that never worked with us (though just two of us.) We turned annoying into an art form.
