Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've got "I Bruise Easily" stuck in my damned head.

he thought it would be unlikely that someone trained in krav maga would do MMA. I tended to agree but thought I'd ask you. I thought maybe someone trained in KM and something else might do MMA. Have you heard of any KM people doing UFC or Pride?

As far as I know, there's no one who's primarily krav in UFC or any big MMA competitions. One of my instructors was going to go that route, but he had an unauspicious first fight, and I think he's decided that age and injury are too big an obstacle.

As for why...I'm not sure. The simple answer would be that we're too dirty fighters, but I don't think that's it. Me, I wouldn't try and compete if I couldn't legally strike to the groin. So I am too dirty.

We have much less a focus on competition (read: NONE) than many arts. No forms to show off, no judged sparring, none of that stuff. We don't fight to the tapout, or give points for various strikes.

I think that's the root of it. Coup is counted, if at all, by how many people you've dropped, or how many groin protectors you've cracke, lips you've split, noses you've broken, etc.

Bas trains in krav, but it's not his main thing. He's friends with a bunch of the instructors, and is on our latest promotional video.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, I apologize. Charles is not, in fact, in charge of anything.

What if I want Charles in charge of me?

Fucking A. These chocolate cupcakes (avec ganache) are the tastiest EVER. I don't know what made the difference but damn. They're so fluffy!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Looks like Sept 9th is the day to be in Minneapolis. There's gonna be a Zombie Pub Crawl.

Why the zombie pub crawl? Because it's pretty much the greatest idea for a pub crawl ever concieved. Walking down the street in a horde of zombies and drinking? It's a dream come true.

And if that isn't good enough, on the very same day there's also a Pirate Pub Crawl

And if that isn't good enough:

10pm
last stop: Moose on Monroe for plank walkin', live tunes, and the Ultimate Pirates vs. Zombies Showdown

Drunken zombies vs. Drunken pirates!

Ann, that's a ferret.

I've got "I Bruise Easily" stuck in my damned head.

And "Unwritten" just came up on the radio.

Though I'd rather hear the new Scissor Sisters, "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'."

What is even happening?

Sue, if hearing a song cures you of an earworm, here you go: [link]

Trudy, you're very close on the lyrics, which are:

Now, the world don't move
To the beat of just one drum.
What might be right for you
May not be right for some.

A man is born.
He's a man of means
Then along come two
They got nothin' but their jeans.

But they got
different strokes
It takes different strokes
It takes different strokes to move the woooooooorld.

There's more, but I just can't. edited because I've cross-posted, and you've since posted the additional lyrics.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Zombie versus Pirate pub crawl is genius.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Trudy, you forgot

And together we'll be fine

at the end.

Zombie versus Pirate pub crawl is genius.

You know, I'm tempted to show up wearing a Star Trek uniform, just to confuse the fuck out of people.

Of course, the downside to this plan is I'd have to wear a Star Trek uniform....

And now that I think of it, the sort of people who'd go to a Zombie or Pirate pub crawl would probably appreciate the humor of a guy showing up in a Trek uniform....
