It won't be until next year, and after Mardi Gras, but still. We've decided we can do it for a long weekend for about $600 a person.
I have excellent wine right now. If it weren't for work I'd stay up all night and drink the case. 2001 Pinot from--- Australia I think.

We'll be having an actual Australian over on Monday - billytea.
Can't wait to show you and yours around SF, Daisy.
Should be cool. Vegas was the first time I've ever been on vacation where there wasn't family, or someone I could go crying to if things went badly, and I had an awesome time. Now, I'm ready to tour the country.
Also, there will be a brand new person at your house! Yay y'all. We haven't made a brand new person yet.
PR: I'm not sure her design palette is as limited as people think. Certainly, everything she presents is distinctively HERS, which isn't a bad thing for a designer, but I can't say they've all looked the SAME. But yeah, I quite like Laura. She's got the "New Yorker speaking her mind" thing down pat, and she's hysterical when she's paired up with Michael.
PR:
Laura definitely has a "point of view" but I think this dress was the one she's made that's the most like what she always wears, no?
I was glad
that Uli didn't make a halter dress, speaking of making the same thing all the time.
Crockpot question (it's been a while): I'm making a stew. How much liquid should I use? Cover the ingredients? 2/3? 3/4?
Oh, crockpot.
I thought you said "crackpot" and I was confused because it seemed like a perfectly sensible question.
Which I cannot answer because I don't have a slowcooker and only make stews on the stovetop.
I think for a stew, you'd want the liquid to cover. But I don't own a crockpot, so I have no idea how much evaporation you need to compensate for.
