The boy only found out a few weeks ago that engagement rings and wedding rings are different things. He's twenty six
I know there is a theoretical difference, but I don't know what the actual difference is.
Like, I know the difference between a morning coat and a tuxedo jacket
No idea what a morning coat is.
Yes, I'm woefully uninformed.
They're really sparkly.
Yep. I love the way they catch the light and, as Sparky said, throw rainbows.
Which is why I also love demantoid garnets, which throw rainbows like diamonds AND are a nice emerald green.

Okay, I apparently don't know the difference between that and a tuxedo jacket.
Does it have to do with one of them (the jackets) having tails?
I have heard the Amber mining industry is horrible.
Others may work 10-hour days in amber mines, eating salt and pozole to keep from dehydrating. Because of their small size, children between 9 and 14 years constitute the majority of the mines’ workforce, digging 2-3 ft high tunnels into the mountains. Early in life, most have developed deep coughs caused by years of working in the smoke and dust -- all for about $2 a day.

Typically/traditionally speaking:
Morning suits have cutaway coats in either gray (worn with gray pants) or black (worn with striped pants). The coats are paired with a waistcoat (vest).
Tuxedos are standard jackets or tails, typically in black or white. Paired with matching pants and either a waistcoat or cumberbund.
Morning dress also is WAY HOTTER than regular tuxedos, IMVHO.
For the longest time, I thought they were Mourning Coats.
I thought the only place to see them was on Masterpiece Theater.
