yes, I tend to think of them in two camps - the sex and the city wanna bes, or you know, college students.

One of the funny things about the "I'm too busy to be hit on" look is that, while you are making it, it's very hard to notice being hit on. I am sure I have been hit on while I did that look, but I would have to be hit with an Actual Anvil (or an incredibly obnox pickup line) to have it make any impact.
I am finding, much to my surprise, that being receptive to and even reciprocal of hit-ons causes them to occur more often, or to be more obvious, or both.
You're thinking of Jersey.
All those damn "New" states.
I think I'm making a distinction between "hit on" which is creepy and or sleezy, and flirted with, which is pleasant and innocuous.
Combining them both barely shifts my numbers, but I concede that it's totally not about quantity when you're experiencing it. Just when you're tabulating and analysing. Which is totally not something I'd do.
Okay, time to take my perkygoth self out to nap in the car.
Bats and glitter! Bats and glitter!
Uh, sorry.
I spent 10 minutes this morning trying to find a shirt that didn't hurt my sunburn from Sunday.
It didn't work.

Speaking as a frequent sunburn sufferer, the only one that will probably work is the shirt you wore Sunday.
I have been known to wear my bathing suit under a shirt for work because a bra killed me and I am not about to go out in public without some sort of support. The only solution was to wear the suit I got sunburned in and then suffer with an oversized t-shirt.
big soft linen shirts.

This post makes me laugh and laugh and laugh.
I don't think I get hit on very often. If I *am* getting hit on, it's subtle enough that I don't notice.

Unfortunately, that shirt is dirty (gelato), plus the sunburn is bad/noticeable enough that I want to cover it.
Lee, try using aloe vera gel with lidocaine. It helps with the pain. Also, tylenol or advil or whatever pain reliever of your choice.
