The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I have a Cat toy recommendation. I got two of them yesterday, and have already had huge amounts of laughing time.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Hope you get some good rest, Matt.

Quiet day here. I need to go get a prescription filled, and the neighborhood association is having a crab feast tonight, but otherwise not much going on.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Portland was great, and I wish I could have spent more time there. Although, considering how much I spent at Powell's, it's probably for the best that I came home when I did. It was nice meeting you, Cass. Sorry you had a migraine and couldn't do dinner with us.
Sheryl, I felt awful about that but ... I felt awful. Glad we got to spend the afternoon stomping about though. And glad you enjoyed your trip here.

Mmmm, crab. Someone should bring me some right now.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I hope Matt is sleeping now.

It is GORGEOUS outside, so my trip to the post office wasn't as bad as it could have been, even though the post office lady yelled at me for waiting until the last day to come get my package.

Now I'm thinking I'll take the diploma that was in said package and take it to get it framed. I don't know, though -- is that too too? My friend I saw yesterday said for sure I should hang it in my office. She's a riot -- she said then I can be humble, but if anyone give me any lip, I can just kind of glance over toward it.

Art Crawl!!!

I'll need to get prescriptions filled soon too. (Not today -- today I am broke.)

Today, my main thing is to get to the library to pick up some books I requested and to watch the Arlington Million on TV (and the Beverly D -- that should be good.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Matt, much strength and ease to you.

I'd been planning on hitting up a tailor today, but just remembered I'm assisting 11:30 to 12:30 and taking black belt training from 2:30 to 4:30. Which also nixes my gym plans, since I'll need to be fresh.

My other plans to do laundry and make cupcakes are hindered by the FUCKING HEADACHE (oh, I can't wait to become blasé) I woke up with.

Hah! love it!

Seriously, does anyone have any opinions about hanging my stupid master's diploma in my office? Would you roll your eyes?

Laura - Aug 12, 2006 7:07:09 am PDT #2211 of 10001
Our wings are not tired.

My diplomas are in my office. DH has his hanging too. It is wronger than wrong to not display the evidence of your hard work. In fact I have my honor cords hanging over the frame too. Flaunt it!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Jesse, I think it's fine. I mean, you worked for it, you earned it; why not be proud of it? Sure, display it.

And if you hang it in the right place, it's supposed to improve your office's chi.

I think.
