Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Has anyone heard of "adrenal fatigue syndrome"? Is it real?

Yes, and yes.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Very nice, Beth.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm pretty sure Matt did, at any rate.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

beth, I appreciate not only the visual story of the books getting homes, but the bravery involved in wearing something that slinky while constructing things with splinters.

Steph, I should've known you'd know. Is there any place for reputable information on this thing I suspect I have?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

next vacation, book everything so far in advance that by the time it comes around, you've forgotten what you planned and you get to be surprised.

I was very excited to check my calendar and realize I'd be seeing you this month. Which was while I was also noting that: (1) Jen K. is coming; (2) my co-editor, Kim, is coming up to talk to me about CrimeBus; (3) Emmett Starts School. Billytea is 8/21-22. Emmett's school start is 8/30; Kim is 8/31; Jen is 9/1.

If the Halloweenie has any sense at all she'll just postpone the whole being born thing until she's closer to her due date. We didn't call her the Septemberini after all.

In other news, I hope Scola's doped up on opium derivatives like Gene Hackman in French Connection II.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

And, it has a super fun Museum of the American Cocktail.

Ok. This? Mr. Jane must see. You guys rock as tour guides.

I miss y'all beyond the reasonable point that you should miss people you've never met. I just don't get much down time at work. By the time I get home it's walk the dogs, workout and bed. I read a good bit, but never post. Stuff I'd post about is past before I get a chance. For instance, It's Eddy not Eddie (Something earlier about Mary Baker, my step family is of the Eddys). And, people asking if your boobs are real or fake? Have that convo at least 3 times a month.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Have that convo at least 3 times a month.

With who? And does it bother you?

I am sushied up and happy. Well, sated. But no drunken bon. So not all happy.

Off to peek at some more S1 Deadwood before bed.
