Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yesterday I moved furniture. Today, trying to find where I put the motivation.

Cass, you should jump on IM. We haven't chatted in TOO long.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Puppycat is just *sacked* out next to me. She was burrowed with her nose somewhere near my underarm for a while and now has melded to my side. It's really cute. But I want to get up. Or, perhaps, just take a nap myself. It's one of those Sundays.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I hope the Zmayhem baby shower is going swimmingly.

I actually just talked with JZ and Hec, and it sounds like all are having a wonderful time.

Art Crawl!!!

That's good.

vw - it's gorgeous here. Maybe this lovely, dry weather will wend it's way East soon.

I saw a pair of kuvasok being walked on my way home from the bus stop. And they were coupled which seems like a practical thing - but I don't think I've ever seen people walking their dogs on a coupler.

I've seen dogs walked on a coupler. I've even walked dogs on a coupler, but they were much smaller. Of course, I live in a state that is otherwise known as Dog Heaven, so the amazing thing is not that I saw a coupler, but that said dogs were on any sort of leash at all.

More importantly, Happy Shower to JZ and Hec and Happy Belated Birthday to Fay! Many happy returns of the day!!

Less importantly, except to me, I have a migraine, which is bad enough, but it seems to have an aura on and off, which I hate more than the pain. Auras sound all sorts of lovely, but actually they suck.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What kind of auras do you get, libkitty? Mine are just flashes up and down the edge of my vision--reminiscent of a torn retina, which is what I worried had mysteriously happened when they started up. Sorry about the migraine no matter what auras you have--they're never worth anything attendant.

Okay, gotta go hit some people.

My auras are usually an area of sparkliness. They usually start out to the edge of my vision, sometimes before I get any pain. If I don't take care of myself then, they work themselves to the center of my vision, at which point I can see things but am functionally nearly blind. If I still don't take care of myself (which only happened the first time this happened because I didn't know what was happening), then pain and nausea hit like a cement truck, and within a few minutes I'm in tears.

Fortunately, this time I self-medicated early with Aleve, Pepsi and bed, so it didn't get that bad. I've also gotten fractal auras, but those weren't quite as bad and I haven't really gotten a fractal aura for a few years.

I've never had a torn retina, ita. Do you mean your aura is like flashes of light? Are they big (encompassing your field of vision) or smaller? Are they really sharp and bright, or more diffuse? However they are, I am likewise sorry. This migraine sucks, but I am in awe of how you cope with yours. Also, I hope you have fun kicking people!!

Now, my head is starting to hurt more so I'm going to get off the computer and lie down with a few sips of Pepsi. I think perhaps this sentence was not very coherent. Oh, well.

Jars - Aug 20, 2006 1:03:06 pm PDT #9454 of 10001

I don't really get migraines enough to have studied the auras I get, but it's mostly like a bright greyness creeping in from the egdes, until eventually all I can see is right in front of me.
