Ah, is that what the kids are calling it these days?
No, the kids are calling it 'screeching like wild monkeys'. I think they're just doing it to annoy me.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Poor monkeys. No one understands their pain.

What's to understand? "Well, that's what happens when you stick your fingers in the light socket, it hurts."
Connie, when my ex-worked on a fishing boat, the captain used to chew licorice on late night watches. He hated the stuff, so it kept him awake. Maybe a flavor of gum you dislike, to pop in at 4am?
Jumping over just over 500 posts to say, Teacup Guy and I are home from Cape Cod. We had a wonderful time, and I will try to catch up here as soon as possible. In the meantime, hugs and ~ma to all who need them.
Yay for having a good time, sj!
Thanks! We were staying at the time share I have been going to since I was 5, except I hadn't been in a couple of years. It was so good to be there again and even better showing Teacup Guy all of the places I love.
Wow, it has been quiet in here this afternoon.
I came home from work early and snuggled up with my heating pad. It has helped my shoulder a bunch. Mom has been doting on me, cutting my meat at dinner, making sure I have pain meds, and all that. I feel like I'm 5 years old.
Welcome back sj.
Hey all! ND and I are at the Hollywood Bowl watching/listening to the world premiere of a live symphonic performance of Fantasia synchronized to video. Don't worry, it's intermission. Wow is it amazing. They're not doing it just like the movie; the conductor says Disney always intended Fantasia to evolve, so it's a mix of new and old. One of the new pieces was an incredible Salvadore Dali cartoon with gorgeous Mexican symphonic music. Anyway, I know I'm in LA because 1) Roy Disney Jr. is here and 2) at the end of the first act, they played "The Magician's Apprentice", and Mickey Mouse came out to shake the conductor's hand.
I love Los Angeles. Have I mentioned that lately? Okay, back to the show. Fireworks at the end! Whee!
The downside is the conversation between the two california party girls sitting behind us. I don't think the total IQ between them is higher than the temperature in my fridge.
