Whoa! I... I think I'm having a thought. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a thought. Now I'm having a plan. Now I'm having a wiggins.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

What I hate is it's one of those pains that seems to linger. The initial OUCH is one thing, but then it keeps going owie, owie, and owie over and over for a couple of days.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Ouch! Yes, I know exactly how that feels, Suzi. Take an anti-inflammatory right now.

IO (me me meeee)N: My boss finally managed to persuade the PTB that there is waaaaay more work on our team than a single editor can handle; I'm getting a minion! The only thing that freaks me out about getting a minion is the notion that *I* might be the person the contractor/minion reports to. I've never really managed other people at work before. But still! Minion!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

YAY for Minions. Boo for pinched necks.

I miss having a minion. It is one of hte things that prevented the stress-neck.

Seriously though, my assistant is supposed to see her doc tomorrow to find out what the next steps are for her. If/when she can come back to work. If she needs more chemo. All that. So now not only am I stressing over work, but what the doctor will tell her and when we will hear from her.

What is even happening?

I like how it turned out.
Well then listen to this, and don't think about that asshat not!boss any more, today: [link]

The part that squicked you because you already knew the truth about Woody Goodman was my big confirmation that the truth about Woody Goodman was going to be nasty, not that I had a lot of doubt, but still...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, Suzi, I hope your assistant gets good news.

My shoulder/neck is so jacked up that you can tell by looking and touching. When it's really acting up, the pain stretches up my neck and involves my sinuses on that left side. I swear that earlier this week I was feeling the same sort of sensations in my hip and knee and that my left shoulder is trying to kill me.

Punishingly Intricate

Cindy, I've been trying to keep up with the VM ever since you posted about the Tues. repeats in Press (THANK YOU!) and I totally missed the Sadie Hawkins ep because I failed to set my VCR properly and I am PISSED! it sounds like a really good ep.

What is even happening?

Lisa, insent to your profile address.

It's a really good episode. Also, I said in the e-mail to check TV Guide, but I think that one ran last week. DVDs come out on 8/22. I can't wait, so I can clear off my poor TiVo.
