Happy birthday Debetesse! I hope it's splendiferous. I've been to Carbondale, I think. Colorado is a very pretty state.
Erin, I'm so sorry for your friends' loss. I hope that they are able to draw together and comfort one another.
I was supposed to go to a baby funeral once, but babysat for the parents and their family instead, since they had toddlers who just didn't need to be there.

Gris, I'm sorry about the girl and, Cindy, glad you brought up the typing. It was too funny to pass up.
{{Sean and S}} glad to hear things are better. I hope they continue to improve beyond all reasonable expectation. Perfect health would be nice.
{{Bev}} love to you.
Glad to hear JZ is doing well, besides the boredom. I'd send her something, but things are kinda boring around here, too, and I know the apartment is small. Good thing vibes and love don't take up too much room.
I've been sorting toys today, working a bit on a project, trying to figure out how to make the budget fit the needs. It's been hectic.
I think we need another day of posting good things. We haven't done that for a while.
Good things: We have a house, and I'm getting to plan gardens and colors, and furniture arrangements. I have finally gotten an even keel and have more energy and less pain than I have had in a couple of years. I'm starting to do more art again, tangible rather than electronic.
Best thing right now, last night after I put Aidan to bed and walked out of the room, he called after me, "Night night! I love you Mommy!"
Good things: I'm going to see Throwing Muses on Saturday night with GF and good friends. I talked to my niece on the phone last night and she squealed, "Toti! Toti!" and another name for me, "Neenee!" like a wee mad thing. GF and I are going to London soon for 10 days. I don't have any school until the end of September and I got approved for a parking permit at UCLA. Woot!
Gloomcookie, here's to a good prognosis for your sil's mom.
I'm glad to know JZ is doing well, Hec. JZ, I miss your font when it's even less frequent than usual.
But it's the "In conclusion" that makes it art.
I think it's the "In conclusion" that makes it your art, P-C. That it was RIO, made it Rio's art. It's all art. We'll call it
kissography.
Awwww for cutiehead Aidan. What a good boy!
Carbondale is right in "my" neighborhood in Colorado. Pretty little town on the Western Slope. Too bad I left town right before the Abi-ness arrived. Maybe I'll catch up with you next time. Then I'll smirk at Nicole because Debet is more convenient. BTW: Nicole is a gracious hostess and has very cute pets. I am going around telling everybody about what I learned from An Evening With Kevin Smith. They all like the Prince-Is-A-Weirdo story.
WS, I've had cats who developed that supersensitivity along the spine. We found out about the aggressive part when I was petting Curtains and he got all agitated, reached over and bit cousin Stuart on the foot. (I am bad because I still laugh about that one.) No, that's not Sophie's problem. Sophie is just definite about what she does and doesn't like. Currently, she likes Mishka and Squeaky more than she does me or DH. He thinks maybe we're not fuzzy enough for her.
Beverly, I ran over *just now* and delivered your Hello to Sophie. She graciously allowed herself to be picked up, and now she's busy playing Wash-n-Wrassle with Mishka.
Beverly is officially Sophie's Auntie because she was here at Chez Bee (during our May F2F celebrations) the day my sister arrived and informed me that I had a new kitty. We had lots of fun playing with tiny baby kitties and shiny beads. We miss you. Please come back and visit soon.
Hec, I need some links to some sassy, Winona Ryderesque pixie cuts. Modern and not too short (maybe brushing the tips of the ears). I'm making my appointment now.
And I love that I can make my hair/nail/color appointments online.

Katie Bee, our cat, Oswald, wasn't a pet-liking kitty at first. He's mellowed somewhat over the last two years, though. Now he seeks pets and strokes and attention. Sometimes, they just need to get out of kittenhood to enjoy the lap cat stuff. YKittyMV.
Good stuff - I had a great doctor's appointment this morning. No anemia. All bloodwork looks golden. I have a "pass" for another 3 months.
We'll call it kissography.
Fuck pharmacology, that's what I want my Ph.D. in.
Hee. At this very moment, Sophie is sitting beside me, purring loudly and digging through the bookshelf with her curious little paws. Maybe she wants to learn about C++. Or else she's going after the booklet with all the passwords so she can order cat toys online. Hope she'll mellow with age like Oswald. Think the probability is high.
Gloomcookie, here's to a good prognosis for your sil's mom.
I'm sorry, I thought that when I read it, but forgot to post.
Also, yay for all the good grades around here!
