I miss playing Illuminati.
The 33rd Degree is through the Scottish Rite and has a long process involved. If you look at this page
Y'know, the author being in the right part of Texas, he almost certainly knows or knew the Marcontell relative in question who'd been talking in hushed tones about his Masonic rank at Paul's grandmother's funeral.
I don't like my food touch (although I don't actually put them on separate plates)
I don't either, normally. It was just a funny image for me and a good representation of my NO TOUCHING! style.
Does anyone eat only one thing at a time? My cousin does this and it's kinda weird to watch.
That used to be me - plate-rotating and all. I'm better at it now, but only a little.

Eat the mashed potatos, eat the meat loaf, eat whatever vegetable I got blackmailed into eating--unless I ate that first to get it out of the way.
I have a friend that eats that way. Took me a while to stop staring.
Where does the Pentavarit come into this?
Right next to Colonel Sanders (just before he went tits up).
I sometimes eat each food in succession, but not always. I'm not methodical about it, though. If/when I do it, it's usually a matter of preferring some foods hotter than others. Cold potatoes? No thanks. Cold steak? Not so bad.
Well, Mum remembers Dad was in the Scottish rite, but can't remember whether he was 33rd or 32nd. I asked her to check when she got home, but I guess his [not diplomas] haven't been unpacked at her condo (which makes sense, because why would she).
In the northern jurisdiction, the requirements are a little different than in the southern, per other sources on google, so I'll just have to chalk this up to yet another Masonic mystery.

This I know, although, I still tend to go a little cross-eyed when my dad talks about it all. Dad works for the Masons (and had to become one to have this executive gig) at Supreme Council Headquarters. It's actually pretty cool. They do really amazing charity work.
I have no idea what level dad's at now. I should. I know he's told me, but I don't remember. It's been good for him. I think it's the first time I've really seen him have his own friends. Mom and Dad always had "couple" friends from the FACes, but now they have their own friends too, which I think is really good.
Oh, Erin. I ... I am so so sorry. There is far too much of people's children dying going on. My heart goes out to your friend and her family. Much ~ma to them.
Oh, Erin, your poor friends. That's just beyond horrible.
