I go online sometimes, but everyone's spelling is really bad. It's... depressing.

I get about $350 for flights from Logan to DFW. Which is about what it costs to fly from SFO to DFW. Feh. I wish my DH and his family could figure out when we actually need to be there so all of this wasn't just speculation.

Ok. I know this is nuts, but I am SO excited right now. I think I just found a company in North America where I can get my favorite Quilting magazine. It's an Australian magazine, and when my parents tried to order it for me for my birthday a couple of years ago, it was gonna be $300 a year (because of shipping costs). Needless to say, I didn't get it. But, I might be able to now! Woot!

I would much rather fly out of Providence than Boston. So much less hassle with traffic and such.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

sj, since money is a bit of an issue you can wait for a bit to see if they lower fares closer to your desired date. My family all met in California recently, and our tickets weren't TOO bad. The tickets were also considerably cheaper one month before than when my sister started looking 6 months before we wanted to go. Might not work, but you never know.

It's my mother's fault I'm looking into any of this anyways. She's evil.

msbelle sent me some adorable pink snowman fabric. I told mom about it and said I might use *some* of it to make some squares for Quilt Pink! [link] Now mom thinks we should work together and make a whole pink and white snowman quilt for Quilt Pink! Which, ok, would be adorable, and I would love to do, but I wanted to make something for myself too. Actually, there's probably enough of it that there will still be some left over, even after using it in a quilt.

So, anyway. I've been looking at possible quilt patterns all night. And, I came across my old Patchwork and Stitching magazines. And, actually, it had a couple of good options. And I was reminded how much I LOVED that magazine, and went looking for it, hoping I could find it somewhere nearby to start getting it again. And I did! YAY!

So, I'm telling my dad that it's all mom's fault that I'm spending this money. Or, I might not buy it now. But, at least I know it's there.

I'm getting the pig!

sj, I tried the Flexible option on expedia and if you could stand flying out of Boston, it looks like you could get a flight to Dallas from Oct 26 or 27th through Nov 2 for $305. And if you're able to be even more flexible with times (for the same dates), there's a flight for $268.

Just an idea. Also, insent.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Where's Juliana? I managed to get scary sunburned yesterday on our walk through SF, and I've decided to blame her.

(what? there might be a free mojito in it for me)
