School starts Monday
ARG!!! Really?!? Dang.
'Underneath'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
On a more positive note, I introduced myself to a contract recruiter while getting coffee this morning, and she said she'd been hearing my name a lot (in good ways). It freaks me out, especially because I've been slacking off for the last few weeks since the six weeks of hell burned me the fuck out. Now that I have no pressing deadlines, I'm not nearly as driven.
That's the same link, Raq, and it still goes to the squirrels.
PC, I think there's still too much in that letter. Keep it simple.
Dear [landlord],
Please accept my apology for our earlier exchange. My uncle insisted I send the earlier request, because of his past experience with renting. I acquiesced against my better judgment, because I am staying with him, and did not want to be disrespectful of him. I am afraid that I have insulted you, in my attempt to placate my family.
I am perfectly happy with the agreement we came to before I let my uncle become involved. I will pay the pro-rated rent. I wanted to explain myself, however, because I am ashamed of my behavior and want you know that I am not the sort of person who will try to take advantage of your good nature. I hope we can continue on as pleasantly as we had been before. Thank you.
John Smith
It is the same link, I just wanted to see if doing it the old-fashioned href way would change anything. Glad it goes to the squirrels for you...don't know why it's going to random places for other folks.
Yay for people hearing your name in good ways! I always get twitchy when I think I've been slacking off and other people think I'm the best employee EVAH!
Ooooh -- Cindy's is WAY better than mine!
Cindy's is great.
Now the link is a forest scene. Still nice, but I want my squirrels with light sabers, dammit!
I really like Cindy's letter, don't want to be too wordy. I would say "I shouldn't have done it" rather than "I'm ashamed of my behavior"
Ooooh -- Cindy's is WAY better than mine!
Well, unfortunately, yours has already done been sent. Dammit, Cindy, why couldn't you have gotten here sooner?! I waited!
He might have been confused about the "John Smith" part, though, so maybe it's for the best.
Aaaand a response:
Dear Sunil: I very much appreciate your letter. I am not after making a fast buck as you can judge. And I do respect my tenants. I understand many things but do not agree with everything I understand. I want to treat others as I'd like to be treated by them. All of us must cooperate to make the world better. Thank you for your letter and God bless you.
Regards,
[Kooky old French guy]
