Oh, on thrush -- if the med doesn't work, as they sometimes don't, ask the ped about gentian violet. It stains like a bitch, which is why modern pediatricians don't recommend it, but it WORKS. If you don't mind purple nipples and baby, it works fast.

Sore throat, swollen glands, fever, and most importantly, white spots on the back of your throat. That said, see a doctor for an actual trained and professional evaluation.

Ok. Prolly not strep then. I woke up this morning with one side of my throat hurting. Not the searing, swallowing glass-like pain I remember from strep, and no fever. I think the glad on that side might be swollen, but I can't tell.
