Apparently living on my own and having to take care of only myself, I have turned into Sean.
Got home lateish for dinner and decided to just microwave one of the lovely Oscar Mayer hot dogs already in buns. Yum. Sat down with that and a yogurt for dinner, to be followed with some cut up fruit once I was no longer starving.
Third bit of the hot dog made me gag. Mold. Half of the hot dog bun was moldy. How did I *not* notice this? I have turned into Sean. This is the only explanation I have.
I understand this is a common response.
Yeah, but by my recollection you and the possum weren't making the exact same sound. Unless by 'possum' we mean 'stampeding herd animal', and by 'sound' we mean 'AAAAAGH! POSSUM!'
Oh, ew, vw. I hope you have something else (easy to fix and not moldy) to eat?
There are subway directions and information about a ferry service from Manhattan on the directions link from the page you gave, sparky. [link]
Anywhere in east manhattan will get you there fairly easily by the ferry. And there are probably hotels in Queens along the E or V trains (the ones that go there) that will be cheaper, though I wouldn't quite know how to find them.

I had the yogurt, and I'm gonna cut up a BIG bowl of fresh fruit when I get back from walking Toto.
Thanks, Gris. I was too busy feeling "grrrr" about it. Eventually I would have found the info -- I just wish she'd made it easier on those of us who have some decisions to make. Not in the least of which is "which friend/relative is going to put us up for the weekend?"
Mmmmm...this is better. Nice big bowl of fruit: grapes, cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon, peaches, and pineapple. Mmmmmm...
Well, dang, vw. I would have shared my quesadilla with you (as long as you're not one of the ones allergic to avocados.) The problem with convenience food is that each convenience is matched by an opposing inconvenience, like mold, ick.
Toto has a new favorite food: peaches. I dropped one and he's just been sitting here begging for them since. Silly boy.
