See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Thanks so much for all the -ma and the calls and good wishes. I was telling Hec last night that thinking about the Buffistas made me think about the young wife's final monologue in Angels in America, where she talks about flying to San Francisco and seeing all the people who have passed on shimmering through the air around the airplane, joining hands and making a shield of themselves for all the scared, sad, sick people still walking around on the ground.

Not that any of y'all are passed on, but I felt the floaty hands and the loving wishes shielding me and the Halloweenie, all around us. So thank you all, so much.

All continues well, except that I'm now here through Monday morning at least. And my ass is all sore and cranky from excessive bedrest and the steroid injections. But I'm okay and the Halloweenie is vigorous and steadily heartbeaty and the placenta is staying put for now, so yay.

Brief post 'cause this keyboard is all rubbery and weird and sucks.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

JZ!!! It is so wonderful to see you posting. I have been thinking about you all day. Tons of stay-put~ma to the Halloweenie.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

JZ, it makes me so happy to hear from you! I'm glad they're taking good care of you, even if it involves needles, cuz, maybe the Weenie will decide she doesn't want you to have anymore shots and will knock off trying to renovate her abode until she's damn well out here with the rest of us!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, neat sculptures, Tep. I am tickled by the locust and daddy-longlegs living on the one. Bummer about the hives.

We have that rule, too, brenda. Lying down while barking, I'm not gonna check it out.

Yay for Hec's unemployment money reawardment! And yay for vw and msbelle's productive day, very cool! And beth's not owing money! Yay!

That's hard to believe, erika, but even if the "zero original thoughts" is true, I know just from reading your posts here that your presentation is all you and that's why I'd buy your book. Sorry it's going slowly at the moment.

I just woke up from an 1.5 hour nap, if that even still qualifies as a nap. No idea why that happened, but it was apparently quite necessary.

Always Anti-fascist!

I just copy other stuff I've seen or read a great deal of the time. IT's an epic crossover fanfic. Because I've got no life to give me experience to write from. I think maybe Mom can hold off spending the advance, you know?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Blarg. The dinner they just brought me? Unripe fruit salad, broccoli (okay, that one's not so bad), a huge wad of rice, an iceberg lettuce salad, and, the piece de resistance, teriyaki chicken. Both Hec and I have said overandoverandover that I am meatless. Thank God he's on his way here to heat up the rest of the paneer.

OTOH, I get to take a bath! WOOT! Par-tay in the hizzospital!

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Erika you have had experiences. And you have an interior life. And you know people and their stories. That can be plenty of basis for writing. See also Emily Dickinson. You are undergoing one of those massive self-doubt things right now. but I've read some of the stuff you've published. You have style and something to say as well.

Well, okay. I'm massively on the side of not counting chickens, so okay. But I know you have written some searing and revealing drabbles that no one else could write, so I'm not gonna believe that you are just rehashing other people's stuff. I will believe that it feels like it sometimes, and that's a drag, but it ain't so.
