And I wonder, what possible catastrophe came crashing down from heaven and brought this dashing stranger to tears?

Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Calli, I'm so sorry.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

askye, take it from a parent, your mom would rather you put any money you have toward getting yourself even. Get her a nice card, write her a note, give her a promisory note for a spa visit or a dinner and a movie out with you when you're solvent and able to pay for it. She'll love it, and love you for being so level headed, I'll bet. I would. In fact, I have.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, Calli, I'm so sorry you have to go through this. All strength to you and yours.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Oh, Calli, I am so so sorry. Peace and strength to you and your family.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Calli, much strength and peace to you, your mom, your dad and the rest of your family. Peace to all of you.

Askye, a card, a handwritten letter telling her how much she means to you and why, a sneak-in do the dishes, clean the living room, scrub the toilet event. Anything you do will be wonderful because you want to do something special and you care about her and you're you.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Calli, peace and strength to you and your family during this time.

If you talk to your mom again before she heads out on the cruise, tell her to wave when she gets to Juneau!
I shall. She and two of the four boys leave for the airport in about an hour. I expect she'll call. And call. And call. Then maybe she'll call. Unless she's not stressed and then she'll only call to check in the once.

My neighbor is outside on the landing between our two apartments and cackle!loud!talking to a friend. Annoying but I would feel totally rude if I asked them to keep it down.

What is even happening?

Calli, strength and peace to you, your mother, father and whole family. I'm so sorry.

JZ, and Halloweenie, health to you both. Now Halloweenie, we sent TickyBox so much stay-put-ma, that there are just puddles of it still lying around here, more than a year after the fact. Consider yourself soaking in it, sweetness. Hec, I hoping for lots of peace for you, and boredom for your whole family.
