Which is why you shouldn't use vinegar!
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Is this more unproven phenomena?
Absolutely. It's Schrodinger's Scientologist's Baby.
The University of Nebraska says: The often asked question is “How can I set the dye in fabric?” Will soaking the item in vinegar or salt water work. Research shows there is no guaranteed way to set the dye. The important thing to do is read the care label and follow the instructions.
Also
Almost all new fabrics contain a small amount of excess dye that can come off during the first few washing and/or wearings.
MAKING THE FABRIC COLORFAST
Here's the recipe for washing fabric and making it colorfast:
Mix together first in hot water b4 adding fabric
1/2cup salt, 1/2cup white vinegar, 1/4cup soap powder (such as Ivory Snow)
Add fabric and soak in hot water mixture for a half hour.
If there is no color loss, then machine wash.
For added safety, wash it with a piece of white cloth in the load.
When the load is done compare the washed white cloth, with a piece of the same cloth unwashed. If they are the same color, your fabric is safe. If not, try washing it again.

Yeah, I'm also getting
vinegar can do nothing useful for cotton dyes
from [link] -- looks like I just have to wash it a few times.
HA! This was NOT a case of Schrodinger's Vinegar.
I have backup.
I don't see any meaningful similarity between belief in god and belief in fairies.I don't either, but I think I was reading your first question differently than what you meant.
The best I found is "pantheist". And that's hardly helpful, because most people have never heard of it!If it makes you feel better, before I got to this line, I was thinking, "Why isn't Zenkitty calling herself a pantheist?"
Therefore I don't see how believing in one makes your stance of utter disbelief in the other any weaker.
This. My beliefs in God and ghosts are much different and not related at all. If anything, my belief in God would tend to make me not believe in ghosts.
That said, I see I'm behind the conversation once again. But I have nothing useful to add on colorfastness.
"Why isn't Zenkitty calling herself a pantheist?"
I think pantheism is cool and logical. It makes sense to me, anyway.
didn't mean to post and run, work has eaten my brain, plz to send dark chocolate and darker men, aiiiieeeee
