[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

San Francisco wins as far as weather, but I think I'd need to make twice my current salary to afford to live there.

True dat. But Oakland, for example, seemed pretty reasonable (well, it seemed reasonable in comparison with, let's remember, Boston).

I have set myself all of one task today, which is to write a cover letter and email my resume off to a placement service. I just hate doing it. Wah!

Our wings are not tired.

Well, once on the roof the chimney situation is more complex than I thought. There are actually 2 chimneys. One is for the coal burner and I would have no problem knocking that down with a sledge, except that it is right on the edge of the house and I'm too afraid of heights to get that near the edge. The main chimney for the fireplace is in the center of the house. The issue with that one is that it appears to me that at a more recent time in history someone has replaced the top section and that is pretty solid. The section below that is crumbling. Tearing out the middle and bottom sections will be easy, except for the top part being all solid.

I think instead I will take a shower and go for a boat ride with my sister. New plan. Better plan.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

But Oakland, for example, seemed pretty reasonable

Hey, did you find a place in Oakland? Where are you living?

Argh. I just had to borrow money from a friend. I feel much with the assyness. The sooner I finish this bloody masters and get a job, the better.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

New plan. Better plan.

I love this plan! I'm excited (for you) to be a part of it!

Have not found a place yet. I'm really hoping to find a job very quickly and let that determine where I should live... or not. I don't know. The whole thing's very stressful.

Eep. Good luck!

You should teach at Oakland Tech and live down the street from me.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

So sorry for your loss, Megan E. Much ~ma and punctuation for you and your family.I dunno if you'll see this, because I can't remember which threads you post in.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Word.

Gosh, that reminds me - Teppy, I'm so sorry about your grandfather. It sounds like the ceremony was very moving.

er, I have skimmed extensively, but just spent since Wednesday without much internet access, in Toronto. It was good times, and now I'm home, and tired...I arranged to have dinner iwth a friend, whiel I was driving home from the airport, and I'm thinking I should've made it earlier, as spending the last hour on my couch has really made me want to not leave it...
