I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Hi, guys, I'm feeling better. Robin, very wise words, and it was exactly what I ended up doing. I stomped around some, and then we went out for a nice brunch and a beer and it's a lovely day and I was able to let go of the anger.

It's gorgeous out, up here. Hot and sunny and blue skies, no humidity, and a lovely sea breeze blowing. Those kinds of days are dangerous, because I don't realize how much sun I'm getting, because it all feels very pleasant. Even though I'm not a beach person, it makes me happy to live so close to the water.

Went to brunch at In A Pig's Eye, ran into Frankenbuddha as we were coming out of the new artisinal bakery in town, went to a couple bookstores for a birthday present for Tom's 15(?) year old nephew... we got him the Hitchiker book, the 5 novels in one book thing, and will get him Adams' Last Chance To See [link] as well.

The status is NOT quo.

Kristin, if anything works, it will need to be Monday. I am in no way going to be cleared for driving more than fifteen minutes today. But maybe Monday?

Monday would be fine. We're planning on doing a little boat tour of Lake Union for a couple of hours and possibly meeting up with a couple of Drew's non-Buffista friends at the Aquarium, but you'd be more than welcome at any of those activities.

Plie, Jilli, and Kristin - we have practice games at Brannan field until about 2pm. Then I think we are free, if anyone wants to meet up.

Yay! We would love to meet up. We don't have any plans today beyond sleeping in (which ND is still enjoying) and going out to the club late tonight.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

A question for Buffistas, who live everywhere: If I like cloudy, cool weather, that rarely gets below 40F or above 75F, and I like the company of intelligent, educated people and interesting things to do, and I want to stay in North America, where should I live?

edited because i'm a dummy: degrees F not C.

Hey. New board.

  • blink* I'm gonna assume you mean 40 F and 75 F. And, that sounds like possibly Seattle? Or San Francisco? But that's a remarkably small temperature range for anywhere. Especially with global warming and all.

Indeed it is a small temperature range. I know it's largely unrealistic, but that's where I'm comfortable, so the closer I can come to that range, the happier I'll be.

And I edited because, yeah, F not C. ::smacks head::

I loved both Seattle and San Francisco when I visited them.

This was pretty much my mission statement and why I chose San Francisco. Seattle and Portland would also have fit, but SF seems to have an even narrower temperature range than those two, if weather.com is to be believed.

Our wings are not tired.

Silly people. I'd rather it not drop below 75F evah. Guess I should stay in Florida in the winter.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

San Francisco wins as far as weather, but I think I'd need to make twice my current salary to afford to live there.

I also fear the future giant earthquake is only waiting on my presence.
