Whooot, P-C, you not-homeless-person!!
Well, I'm not homeless now, too.
I think I must have missed this one
Oh, it's a fun story.
Yay P-C! I'm so glad it worked out and the landlord recognized what a quality person you are. Whee!
Oh, I forgot to describe the call! So I called him, and he asked who I was, and I said, "Sunil." And he asked me to spell it because he couldn't hear. I did, and he was trying to put the letters together, some of which he seemed to have misheard, and then it finally dawned on him and he exclaimed, "SUNIL! Oh, Sunil, of course." It was very funny.
Off the record, he told me that one applicant was a doctor but only wanted to stay for six months, and the other one was a grad student in good standing who had only been at his last place for a year, and he was looking for someone more stable. Thank goodness I stayed at my last place for two years! Also, I feel a teeny bit bad since I don't know how long I'll be here, but I'm sure it will be at least a year.
He also said it had nothing to do with the fact that he had a good old friend from India. Nothing at all. If anyone asked him, it clearly had nothing to do with it. His decision was businesslike and objective!
Oddly enough, that is a suggestion I've seen more than thrice.
I don't think it's odd if it comes from anyone here. It's more like a normal suggestion in this forum.
Okay I ate lunch with today's candidate. Naptime!
Aimee, can you still get her in Onesies? It seems to me that's what my kids slept in, when it was hot. I have a memory of Onesies and shorts too, but thankfully, none of them were diaper-removers. That's just dirty pool.
Onesies. Good idea. We do have some.
I just told CJ to pack his stuff into a laundry basket. He thinks I'm strange - yet I'm feeling fairly brilliant.
If he doesn't like that, see how strange he thinks you are when you hand him a garbage bag, which is where I assumed your story was going. ie, I think you're brilliant for thinking of the laundry basket as well.
Congrats, P-C!
Interview-going-the-way-you-want-it-to-ma for Sparky!
Interview~ma Sparky. How could they possibly resist?
Onesies are the best. I would still dress the boys in them if they let me.

DH used to use paper grocery bags as luggage and I mocked him for years. I had to come up with an alternative or face return mocking for passing on that concept to my son.
Interview~ma of the strongest sort...
I just finished a piece of TJ's lime cheesecake, which was delicious (though it could have been a little limier), and I have lime popsicles from there in the freezer. Limes rule!
Congratulations, P-C!
May the the interview give you the result you want, Sparky.
There are days I would still dress in onsies if I could.
I downed a key lime cappuccino from some stop along the road trip. I have no idea if it had any real ingredients (maybe the coffee), but it was very limey and yummy.
