I need more hours sometime between now and 2:30 tomorrow afternoon. I am leaving town for over a week and I have not packed a thing. My son has not packed anything. I have no clue if DH or K-Bug have started. WE LEAVE TOMORROW. Did I mention that we haven't cleaned out the van from the last road trip?
Ummmm. Panicing will not help, will it?
On the up side, I did finally talk with my best friend who now lives across the sound from Seattle. With any luck, I will get to see her THIS Friday. I miss her so much.
Best thing about Emily leaving? I can tell telemarketers that call her five times a day, "I'm sorry; she doesn't live here anymore."

Your state needs a "no call" list. It's a great, great thing. Hold on, you do have one.

Yeah...she's on it, but she gets calls from companies where she uses their products. it's tricky. Or something.
So far, the 30s have included an awful lot of packing.
Huh, mine did too.
eta: it didn't seem like too many words to spell right
Ah, so tricky, weasel telemarketing then.

This is pretty much my standard response anyway. One of the few good things about having a scary-looking last name is that it serves as a great screening system for telemarketers.
My standard telemarketer line is that my brother does that. He cleans carpets, has a clothing store, is a mortgage broker, and a stock broker. Guy has quite a resume. Telemarketer can't figure a comeback for the family link.
Packing ~fu to vw, Suz and Suzi's family!
I went to the grocery last night to get a few things for Katie Bee's visit. It was a totally useless trip since I haven't a clue as to what Katie likes to eat or drink.
Plei - thank you for all of the hair advice and online assistance! I no longer have three-tone (or even two-tone) hair. It's all one color of brown!
I actually enjoyed getting mortgage brokers telemarking calls after our last refi. I asked them if they could give me a 5.75% 15 year fixed mortgage, like I already have. They can't say, "good-bye" fast enough. I don't get so many calls anymore.
With the "nonprofits" that call--the police & fireman folks, I always ask them what percentage of their collections actually go to injured police. I actually had a guy tell me 25%. So I said, "You mean only a quarter of every dollar raised actually goes to the widows and orphans of police officers killed in the line of duty?" He stammered something about "overhead costs." Not good enough. These days, they try to get around it by offering to send me that info through the mail or by directing me to a website. I say if they're too ashamed to say, I'm too ashamed to give them any money.
I bought some color remover for my hair to use today. Then I'm going to try to go dark brown on my own. See what happens. I've got my fingers crossed.
