Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Oh, sj, that's too bad for Dave.
vw, I agree with the folks saying forget about the apartment in the kill zone. Too many cons, not enough pros. Total square footage is not the be-all-end-all of a good apartment. I'll take less sq. footage over more total storage space anyday.
The daughter was lonely in her new apartment, today. She came over and we did some shopping for the new apartment and went to dinner. I have to admit, I feel a lot more alone now that she's moved out. Even a little lonely because even if she wasn't here much at the same time I was, I'd gotten used to her living here. It's so quiet, now, even with the TV on.
Poor Dave!
As for when the kitties meet, out vet advises us not to interfere and let them sort it out but I fear that Trinian's brain of very small size will just make her a very vicious being. I'm a tad concerned to say the least.
I've heard from reputable sources that it helps to introduce the new kitties by putting some tuna juice on their heads.
Honest.
Also, I am pleased to be Laura's ex in Dreamland. NSM for the ex-element, but...you know. Laura. Woof.
Oh, you guys would be the Friendly Exes, like Stanley and Marge on H:LOTS.
Which drove Munch crazy and made him all "Divorced people hate each other, Stanley."
His mom tried to fix the situation by reminding him how much he loves to read comics, which he agreed with, but still wanted toys. Then she pointed out the matchbox car, the bubbles, and the squirt gun we also bought him and said, "And what are those?". I think she handled it pretty well, and it was just a four year old being a four year old. We brought squirt guns to both his neice and nephew (my idea) and they had a blast playing with them which was nice. They're adorable kids.

Heh. She's already got a friendly ex.
and it was just a four year old being a four year old.
Ah. Well, at 4 they'll say all kinds of things which sting but don't mean much in the big scheme of things. Tell Dave not to sweat it. They're not especially kind at that age, and he's already established his role as Giving Things Uncle, which is not a bad role. Also, the undiluted bluntness is probably a sign of comfort with him.
Based on stories today, this kid is blunt and often, and would probably get into trouble with it more often if he wasn't the cutest thing with a smile that could kill you ded. Yet, amazingly, neither kid said to me, "why do you walk funny?". I don't think Dave is worrying about it too much, it was just the initial sting.
Tired. Sunburnt.
Kelly tweaked her ankle. Her team came in 3rd out of 22 teams. The top two qualified for Seattle. Her team has one more shot in a VERY tough tournament to qualify for Seattle - so we will likely end up in New Mexico in early August instead.
Hopefully her ankle will be better soon, otherwise - well, I don't want to think about otherwise. She needs to be in playing health. gah.
Did I mention tired and sunburnt?
Poor K-Bug, quick healing~ma to her ankle.
Yeah, probably. Sucks to be Dave in that moment, though.
But at least he *is* four, you know?
Well, Hecubus, poor Munch's marriages probably ended in cursing and restraining orders. Kay would just shoot him, which is probably a strange reason for a OTP.
