I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

What is even happening?

Keep telling you -- not. dead.
True, but I don't think we've settled on the alive or undead question, and really, maybe he's been undead for quite some time, now. It would explain a lot.

Cashmere, are you still here?

Are you just snuggly, or are the hugs for mental health reasons?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Happy Day to celebrate the smart, funny, brave, kind, and kick-ass cook, vw! I hope this is a terrific and fulfilling year for you!

Punishingly Intricate

Happy B-Day, vw!!! Am with everyone else on the 30s kicking the ass of the 20s.

I have been home sick for two days with a cold that has settled in my throat. I think this is the first time I've been sick sick all year which YAY! for me! but it's making me cranky.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

HAPPY VW DAY!!!!!

Guess who is going to sleep while it is still dark out?

Woo hoooooo!

I might even wear clothes!

Let's not go nuts with this...

Laura, you're there until the end of August, right?

Both. Plus, I heart you.

I'm extremely tired, and I'm having to commute by myself since the relatives are gone, and I'm trying to find an apartment, and I'm trying to LJ Comic-Con before I become obsolete, and my fingers hurt, and I should do work since they're planning to hire me soon, but I hope that goes smoothly and my salary does not suck in comparison to what I am getting now because moving out and having to pay for everything again will be a shock to my finances.

Oh, P-C. I heart you, too.

You've got an awful lot at once, there. The financial stuff will sort itself out. It just stinks until it does. I think it's Theodosia who occasionally reminds me of that, with something like, If a problem can be solved by money, it's not the worst problem to have. It's a difficult p.o.v. to adopt (for me) when I do have the problem but not the money, but I do think it's true. Have you seen any affordable apartments you like? When are you hoping to move?

I'm trying to LJ Comic-Con before I become obsolete

I've read a ton of TCA coverage, but hardly any Comin Con coverage, so your posts will not be obsolete for me.

Are there any upsides to the relatives being gone?

Also? Cashmere, insent.

I understand that, really. The last few years, I've several times realized that money can totally solve lots of problems. It just makes them go away, like that! As long as you're willing to let the money go.

Have you seen any affordable apartments you like? When are you hoping to move?

I saw a couple on Friday, and one was cheap but too small for my tastes, and one was large but too expensive for the quality. I'm going to see a couple tonight that I hope are better. I'm hoping to move pretty much ASAP, mid-August or so. That's when I presume they'd start the lease.

I've read a ton of TCA coverage, but hardly any Comin Con coverage, so your posts will not be obsolete for me.

That's good. I mostly re-hearted you because during the drive back, I had some good discussion with a friend that I think I need to post about, and I know that you, specifically, will appreciate it because it's about how Buffy changed the way I watch television and the way Internet fandom affects one's viewing experience and a whole complicated mess of thoughts in that vein.

Are there any upsides to the relatives being gone?

My schedule is all mine, and I can do what I want. I can have people over who may or may not make out with me.
