Cass, run a washcloth under cold water, wring it out, and then wipe the kitties down. They will be a bit cross about it at first, but it'll will help them a lot.
Excellent idea. Thank you. And yes, quite cross. But it's good for them.
I have my ice packs out for them to be near as well. Thanks, Kristin.
And ice in the water. Yesterday I iced some tuna juice for Kittenish to drink.
We're at 99. By about nine tonight I should be able to open the windows.

3.0 and my exBF were a one-night stand as well. Just one that started six years ago and now includes being married. I suspect if they have kids, I won't be allowed to tell them this either.
My BFF's brother had sex in the bathroom at a party on the first date. The next day (we knew her too), she was all freaked out that he woudl think she was a total slut. they're now married with three kids.
It's pretty much agreed that I am a prude.
I am going outside in my bra and skirt it is SO DAMNED HOT.
t gratuitous no-shirt post
You know, I think anyone I've had what could be considered a one-night stand with has been someone I knew socially for several months first.
(Hell, one of them, who I suppose was technically a two night stand, was an old roomie's ex-boyfriend, and I'd known him casually for years.)
But I always tended more towards falling into relationships than falling into bed. Might've been better were it otherwise, at times.
I have had mostly one night stands.
I assume you were passing that on from JZ?
::winks back::
So, I'm having an 80's party for my birthday - WITH dress code. I know what I want to wear and I have been scouring eBay for the little bits of it. What is kind of scary is just how much 80's fashion is readily available in Canada. I mean, are they JUST cleaning out their closets?? What are they wearing? GRUNGE?
111 degrees on at least one sign today.
You poor, poor things. It isn't very often that I'm thrilled with temps in the 50s and 60s and rain, but I think I just may be thrilled. For years, I've said that anyone who doesn't believe in global warming should come to Alaska. It seems that this summer, California is the convincing place.
Kittenish
Cass, I hope you don't mind, but it looks like Kittenish is going to have a namesake. A friend got a kitten for her 21st birthday today, and everyone at the party was supposed to come up with a name. Kittenish kept sticking in my head, so I put it down for my choice. I figured it wouldn't get chosen anyway, but she picked it out of the jar, so now the new kitten will be Kittenish. On the one hand, this was fun. On the other hand, it's hard for me to imagine choosing a name for a creature without having even met the creature.
Have I ever mentioned that Buffistas come up with the bestest pet names?
