Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Hey! I'm here! I'm caught up! (At least for a while!) I missed talking to you guys!
Um, hugs & ~ma all around.
And uhhh, 80's movies good, missing kitties bad. (Kitty Go Home-ma). Also pretty darn gorgeous people posting here and related to those posting here!
I went to a Masquerade Ball in Hollywood this past weekend, and I just kept thinking, "Jilli should be here. Jilli should really be here." It's called (appropriately enough fitting in to recent topics)
Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball
Lots of Faeries, some pirates, at least two Jareths, one girl in Jennifer Connolly's costume from the ball scene in the movie, one V for Vendetta Guy, one Man in Black, and plenty of people (incl. me & my friends) in formal wear with added masks (& glitter! The bathroom floor of our motel room was covered in it). Live bands interspersed with DJ'd music (talk about taking you back to the 80's! About every other song was Bowie, interspersed with Depeche Mode, New Order, etc.) Very cool. It was my first time, or I would have been pimping it to Jilli (and probably all the LA-istas) for months in advance. (Thought I saw ND [from behind, the hair was right and the utilikilt was right], but when I checked with the guys on the sound board they said it wasn't him. He's working so constantly anymore, I just
assumed
).
Oh, and speaking of/to Jilli, if you can't find your Lost Boys Poster, I could probably spare mine. Let me know.
Eeee! You went to the Labyrinth of Jareth event?! Oh, I am so envious. You have no idea.

Hee! You enabler, you.

And of course you already know about it! Where was my head? But let me tell you, up in the upper balcony, looking at the milling masses dancing below us, I just kept wishing you there. Also, when down on the dance floor, and the music was marvellously swoop-y and there was just no one there with your skills.
Hee! You enabler, you.
If the shoe fits...whatta ya know, call me Cinderella.
SO bored.
I'm hiding from K-Bug's practice. It is so darned hot.
Bored now.
Aaagh! The Venture Brothers is in it's second season, 3 eps in! No one tells me anything.
Or it could be the lack of cable and the 63-hour work week...
That sounds like so much fun, Epic!
::Attempts to tap dance for Suzi's amusement. Falls down. Blames the two beers with dinner::
So, because I AM that crazy, I've discovered that there was indeed a tie-in novelization for Lost Boys. It's now on my amazon wishlist, and I'm probably going to buy it in the next week or so. I mentioned crazy, right?
(I found my movie poster, I'm watching the DVD right now, AIFG!)
t the cliché tag never closes!

Totally was. It was very cool for a big party for so many people of similar interests, who maybe don't often get to express that side, to get together and
express.
(Overheard at LoJ: Bartender semi-flirting with two girls next to me at the bar: "Oh yeah, this is one of my favorite events to work at. It's like a Salute to Boobs." [Imagine how many of the girls are wearing their Renaissance Faire-esque gear, and you'll get where he was coming from]).
I'm watching the DVD right now, AIFG!
I totally came thisclose to picking up the DVD at Hot Topic on Sunday. But I still have it in my VHS collection. Hee!

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I loaned my copy to my friend, Matt, whose sister "borrowed" it out of his room, loaned it to one of her friends, then had a falling out with said friend and refused to get my book back. I haven't seen either of them in at least a decade, but next time I do, I'm totally demanding a replacement.
Whoa, these last couple hundred posts have been
such
a mental high school reunion. Freaky.
Glass Spider Tour only one , but I'd pay to see him again
sounds like a great birthday, juliana
and Kitty go home!
beth, that's the tour I saw him on, too.
