I'm supposed to deliver you to the Master now. There's this whole deal where I get to be immortal. Are you cool with that?

Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Note to self: The David Bowie love is strong in Bitches. Mere mention of the song from Labyrinth and everyone passes out, unable to post, because of the love and longing for this great man in music. While everyone is passed out on the floor, I shall run off with him, spike his hair, put him in a skirt, and share metallic green eyeliner with him. MINE MINE MINE!!!

Oh, no. Jilli is possibly the only person I will concede Teh Bowie to, but HELLS NO. MINE. Do not fuck with the hungover-from-whiskey woman's toy.

"I've got a gun! I've got a mother-flippin' gun!" - Moss, The IT Crowd

FYI, the trailer for The Prestige shows that age is catching up with Mr. Bowie. IJS.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

(from Natter)

So you had a good birthday?

You could say that. Further update in Bitches.

Nuh uh.

What is even happening?

Who here has seen Bowie perform, live—I mean, besides me?

(This time I'm not lying to anyone.)

Birthday report:

So - Curtis actually planned out activities for last night. Shocking, as he is ADHD Boy and normally doesn't plan more than 2 hours in advance. But we all met at the bar he works at on Mondays, and then went for dinner once he got off. It was Curtis, Martin (new possible boy if Curtis doesn't work out), Nikki (best friend), and Tanya (friend & owner of the bar I work at).

We went to Brick for dinner - which all SF peeps should go to. It is of Teh Yum. It's industry night, so both Martin & Curtis keep popping up to say hi to people they know. We stuff our faces, and then go to a bar.

Here's the funny thing - we went to Elixir in the Mission, because Curtis's friend Ginny from Nashville is tending (she is made of awesome. Cool hair, fantastic tattoos, and the best attitude evAR). I've gone there a few times before - Original Pretty Tattooed Boy works there, and it's just a cool bar. So we're standing around & chatting, and all of a sudden there's this woman at the edge of our group, staring at me. I think, "Oh shit, what did I do?" She asks me, "Are you a Buffista?" My jaw drops. Turns out she's one of smonster's friends, and is out drinking with Original Pretty Tattooed Boy, who she's really good friends with. She had heard my name get called as we toasted, and had seen some pictures from the F2F (the one of me over Hec's shoulder - she thought that it was smonster over his shoulder), so she decided to ask. Small. Fucking. World. So we took pictures and drank.

A little bit of drama toward the end of the night, but nothing major. I just need to clear some things up with C.

Curtis and Ginny are putting me on a drinking training regimen in preparation for my Nashville visit in October. smonster, amyth, and KateP are hereby warned that they might want to do the same.

My life is so far removed from what it was a year ago, it makes my head spin some times. Last year, I had a birthday party at a friend's beautiful house, a bunch of people came, I was getting more notice in the papers for directing, I was married, I didn't drink whiskey or even know about Fernet.... All of that. And now I'm in a city 2000 miles away, starting over, with a whole new group of people and.... It's just odd. But all of you have been here and are always here and for that, I am so incredibly grateful. Thank you.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Hec's Nicole is so cute!

Hey, she was my Nicole first! I remember her from when she was a little sandy-haired sprite of eight searching my aunt and uncle's backyard for Easter eggs!

And, to avoid Nicole confusion, she can be Nickie, which it turns out she actually prefers to Nicole even though everyone in her family ignores her preference.

No MJ drag pictures, alas.

Next time she comes, I'm going to Death her up proper -- that was just a very hasty no-hair-or-makeup dressage done in the few minutes I had before rushing off to church, just because she said I could and I was afraid I wouldn't get another chance before she left. She kept patting her waist and saying in amazement, "I look so skinny! I look so thin!" Which made me horribly sad because, of course, she is so skinny and so thin and, what's more, very pretty besides, which she would be at any size at all. But, like practically every other female person on the continent, she feels dissatisfied with her body as it is and can't trust to its loveliness unless it's all costumed.

So, a quick bit of post-F2F schwag pimpage.

Here's links to the Legendary & Awesome designs. The links to the related stores are in the F2F thread.

If I only had a brain...

Is LJ all poof for anybody else?

Wah. I am working at home because an organizer is here. I have a headache from the heat. I haven't seen my cat in two days. I am off to drop my daughter at a volunteer job and see if my cat's at the shelter. A heat wave is not a good time to have a missing cat -- he might be in trouble.

Gah.
