Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My MiL has started collecting dress up items for Olivia and found a tiny pair of silvery fairy wings.

Ded. Great idea for your MiL.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

So I watched an informercial for the 80's Gold CD collection, watched (most of) Footloose (FOR THE FIRST TIME), and recited Ferris Bueller all in one weekend.

I think I need to have an 80's party for my birthday.

In three weeks and two days.

FOR THE FIRST TIME

!?!

Wow. I won't tell you how many times I saw it in the theater. Though that was not as high a number as my parents thought it was - it was the go to movie to say I was seeing when we snuck into something R rated.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Footloose was the movie that prompted me to buy my first TV. A friend said he'd watched it on late night cable and I realised that without one, who knew how many other airings I'd miss?

What I meant to say was: 80s party in 3 weeks and 2 days, woo-hoo!

That may not have come across.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I still remember when Footloose had recently come out and I saw a couple of kids trying to do the two-people-one-walkman dancing scene. It may have worked well out in a field, but on a city street ... nsm. The cord got tangled up on a parking meter, which kind of ruined the effect.
