[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Nephew is a cute wee lad. Niece definitely looks like my brother (and me) when we were babies. Since I don't have kids, it's kinda cool to have the niece be a Mini!Me. We'll see if that changes as she grows. When I talked to her yesterday, she told me her ABCs and then mentioned Elmo! Bert! and Ernie! So friggin' cute.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Commute continues to suck. You know, if they can't get it together to aircondition all the train cars, at least give us windows to open!

They have been having a lot more problems this year with this than I remember in summers past. My paranoid mind is suspicious that they are punking out on fixing stuff until they can simultaneously a) get their fare increase through while b) low-balling the union. IOW "We can't afford to fix basic functionility - we need more money and we need to use it for basic repairs and not people's pay checks."

By the by, Nora - what train are you taking these days? Does the new job let you get in later?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Happy Birthday to the loveliest Juliana!!!!

ION, I am having a bad day at work. Everything that's come out of my mouth has been misunderstood by every. single. person. But, unlike my normal work-related grumbling, I really don't think it's my co-workers' faults -- I think I'm just incoherent and massively stupid today.

Bah.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Happy Birthday, juliana!!!!

Teppy, I've had days weeks like that. It sucks. The best thing I've found is to hole myself up and have as little human contact as possible.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

How do I write a paper when my brain is melting?

The status is NOT quo.

Adorable kids, GC.

sj, I so feel your pain. I'm sorry about the hot.

HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS TO JULIANA!

sj, maybe turn your head to the side and let your melting brains drip onto the paper. Then, they (the melting brains) can write the paper themselves.

It's not working. I have to write a five page life story paper, which is no big deal by itself. However, we have to cite our text book and another article in the paper, so I have to make that stuff fit in to what I want to write. I don't mind doing research, but on a biographical paper, it seems kind of silly.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I don't mind do research, but on a biographical paper, it seems kind of silly.

That's because it is silly.

Thanks. It's nice to know it is not just me.
