In sort of related to moving news - I just found the cortisone tablets I use for my mouth ulcers that I lost 'til now in the move, so hopefully, the stupid bastard ulcers will be gone in a few days. Huzzah!
How sad is it that I did a little dance of joy when I found medication? On a scale of one to sad?
Tonight we're having taquitos with enchilada sauce, melted cheese, and sour cream with a side of Mexican rice.

sj, I'm sorry for your loss.
The house looks fantastic, ND and Kirstin. Congrats again.
Safe travels to the Lauras.
Beautiful jacket, -t.
vw and Emily's dinner would hit. the. spot.
And last, Hec's niece sounds like a doll, and I'm so glad she's having such a great time.
I spent the afternoon babysitting my niece; we crafted, read, and watched TV. I've now escaped to the library.

Babe, you come anytime, once I'm in my new place (and therefore, have a hide-a-bed), and you'll get taquitos galore.
Can you send some with Emily, vw?
(That way she'll have something to eat once she's here).

Hmmmm...not sure it's gonna make it five days in the car.
hmm, probably not. Poor Emily-- she's in for a bit of roomie culture shock.

Nah...she's gonna be just fine. This cooking thing hasn't been happening much as of late anyway. We've been so busy and going in a hundred directions, so we've been eating out (or bringing food in) a lot. I just thought I'd try to cook some of her favorites before she goes.
What is enchilada sauce, vw? Because the taquitos sound yummy, and I bet the boys would love them.
Actually, how do you make the taquitos? I've only ever had the frozen ones.
Arrrrh, in honor of Pirates I'm drinking a dark rum drunk and it's very tasty on a gorgeous afternoon in San Francisco.
It's got dark rum (Whaler's - I think ND brought it to the F2F?), a bit of upscale Dr. Swami & Bone Daddy's Gourmet Top Shelf Margarita Mix (made with real citrus pulp, unfiltered lemon & lime juice), Maraschino Liqueuer (unrelated to Maraschino cherries), and some Orangina for sweetness and citrus and fizz. Luscious.
