I was thinking about heading there too, Beth. Not sure if I will or not though.

Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
give our cells a call - if you decide to go - thought I suspect we will leave before it gets too hot.
The new house looks terrific -- so much space, and those gorgeous floors!
I am made of gronk this morning. Too much walking yesterday -- I collapsed in a heap at the beginning of Tombstone and was out, out, out, long before turdburglar and fartknocker.
Nicole is just ridiculously cute and fun and falling in love with San Francisco. Yesterday morning when we went out to wander the Haight and she got all dolled up in MJ drag, she was just a little bristly and overeager and talking about "terrorizing Haight Street," and by the end of the jaunt she was all pleasantly bergoggled that nobody had stared or pointed or said anything rude, that head-to-toe full-makeup costuming before noon is a perfectly unremarkable default setting here.
I'm all bummed that I missed her actual dialog with the female Jack Sparrow, but I did see the Jack, and she was both cute and HOTT. Piracy is terribly flattering.
It's so exciting to read these stories of Nicole's experience in SF. She's going to look back on this and identify it as a time when the pieces settled together a little more solidly and her pride in her own eccentricity got a big boost. Go her! And go everyone for showing her how wonderful it is to be weird!
I am so going to love living alone and not having to deal with roommate people. I feel the need to specify that I do not get that feeling with having Emily around. I think we've found a way to work through things and whatnot that just works. But, like I told Emily's mom yesterday, "If I can't live with Emily, I don't want to live with anyone at all!"
So, the latest? Not!Emily hasn't been home in three days. He left dishes in the sink. I'm refusing to do them.
But, they're starting to smell. I am oh, so tempted to go put them on his bed. Of course, I won't. I just wash them and roll my eyes at him forever. But, still.
I'm hitting the road my dears. Wish me safe travel~ma. We have a very packed van with 4 people, dog, bunny, clothes for all of us for a month. Etc. Etc. Etc. And we are pulling a boat with a washer and dryer and tools. Also 3 laptops and a desktop computer, printer, x-box, other games, Eeek. I should have rented a truck.
We are getting such a late start we might drive straight through. 27 hours or so. I told Brendon we have to switch off every 3 hours if we go straight through because otherwise I get too tired. Damn, I wish I could get that good Cuban coffee on the road. I'll miss you Miami.
I'll be chillin' in the mountains of NY next time I post. Love & Stuff!

That was always the plan. The plan has worked even better than anticipated, though.
JZ just showed Nicole some Sandman comics and said, "I want to dress you up like Death." Nicole says, "I'd do that!" Nicole is also considering doing a little Capt. Jack dressing up of her own.
(I hope you) have a safe drive, Laura!
Interesting that the targets of female drag are a bit sexually ambivalent themselves...although I have to admit to dressing like MJ occasionally back in the day (like 20 years ago). I'm not sure I did it on purpose, because I was definitely in the Prince camp, and tried to dress like Sheila E.
That's pretty cool that she got mopped!
The DH just said I have Antonio Banderas hair.
Suzi, you awake yet?
Why not?
