[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm sorry for your loss, sj.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Little bit drunk. This is a problem, because I'm supposed to be on the other side of town for a bar crawl in a couple of hours. And I cannot bail, because I've missed the last few things this person invited me to. Eh, no biggie. I'll just take off early if I feel I really need to.

But the cat care is done for the day, at least. Easy as it is, there's no way I'd be going over to give the cat shots while liquored up. (See? Not totally irresponsible. Though the dog is giving me the stink-eye, not having been out since 7 am. But it's still 90+ outside, and no way her part-huskie ass is going out until it cools a bit.)

"So, um, what happened here, ma'am?"

"Brenda got drunk and shot the cat. ::small shrug:: It happens..."

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I really want to quit Saturday job.

But, I don't feel that I can.

So damned tired.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I just had to read way too much material on the NY State math curriculum. (Basically, rather than Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II for a year each, they have Math A for a year and a half and Math B for a year and a half. It ends up covering pretty much the same material, but not in the same order, and there are a few topics, mostly things like set theory that other states threw out with the rest of "New Math," that they still teach.) After looking through it, it actually seems like a more coherent curriculum than the standard one, but it's a pain for those of us working with just one NY kid in a class of mostly NJ kids for the summer.

Okay, I just skipped a beer bottle cap across the dog's back. Lengthwise! Three skips!

Does that mean I'm drunker than I thought, or not as?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I vote drunker, brenda.

What is even happening?

sj, I'm so sorry for your loss.

Kristin, I totally would have tagged that myself, except I only have one quality out of the three.

It means you have an incredibly patient dog. And that you should take pictures and then post them.
