Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh, Tep. I'll keep hoping he improves to a point he can live with, but at least doesn't have to spend too long in a condition he can't bear. Sometimes it's just time, you know?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Eeek. Sorry for the shallow fashion post right after that, Steph.

Pfft. Don't apologize. I was just brain-dumping (because I *must* share with the Buffistas Every! Single! Thought! that crosses my mind). I really truly am not upset.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

it will be sad, but I won't be upset.

Makes perfect sense.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Teppy, much ~ma to you and your family.

Tea is so not doing the trick today, so I am giving in and making myself a pot of coffee.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

It sounds like a difficult time with the mixed emotions and stuff.

As an example, my Mom sent me a follow-up e-mail, where she said "[Caretaker!aunt] is so emotionally involved in this whole thing with Grandpa."

That kind of says it all about how screwed up the family relationships are. Mom is really detached from all this, because she *never* had a good relationship with Grandpa, so she perceives caretaker!aunt's involvement and emotions as too much. Plus, calling it "this whole thing with Grandpa," as if he decided to join a punk rock band. Yeesh.

Mostly lurking...

Ugh.

Asthma's been getting progressively worse over the last several days. I just got back from running some errands and had to use my inhaler after walking up the stairs. So, I decided I probably should see if my PCP wanted me seen before the weekend, so I don't end up in the ER. She thinks it sounds like I definitely need steroids (but they won't prescribe those over the phone for me, because I tend to actually underestimate how bad things are and sometimes need more than just the steroids), so I've got an appointment to see the NP tomorrow afternoon.

The frustrating thing is I qualify for this new, hopefully fabulous, medication called Xolair, which is a shot that you get every three weeks. Well, there's some insurance issues and it turns out I'm going to have to be referred to another clinic at the hospital to be able to actually get the medication (that's the VERY short story). And, well, this is a big hospital and blah, blah, blah, so who knows how long this is gonna take for the referral to go through...then I have to actually get the appointment. And they might require more tests and yada yada yada.

So, in the meantime, steroids, here I come.
