Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I hope he feels better soon.

Thanks, sj. He'll be fine. He's just tired from the middle of the night wakeup, and the barfing. I'm sure after a nap he'll be ready to bounce around again.

He basically food poisoned himself with an extremely poor choice of food combinations. Spoilerfont for the weak of stomach: Diet Pepsi, Barqs root beer, Italian Sausage, cotton candy, large raspberry lemonade, french fries. I think it was the cotton candy, sour lemonade and the greasy food combo that did him in. That's just a lump of indigestibility. Funny thing is, I've denied him cotton candy for his entire life and just gave in at the game to celebrate the little league championship. Oh well. Now I've got another excuse to deny him cotton candy. I should've monitored it better but was in a celebratory mood for last day of school plus championship team.

Always Anti-fascist!

I know...if I didn't know about the years of work ahead of time, it would feel all overnight and shit. I have never gotten sick to my stomach in the daytime in my life, always between midnight and five. Bummer about the party, but it seems to have worked out better for Zmayhem anyway.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Family-ma to you, Zenkitty. I hope you can come up with a workable solution.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

That food combo is giving me a stomach ache, and I didn't even eat it.

I should've monitored it better but was in a celebratory mood for last day of school plus championship team.

You can't always watch everything, and it is probably better that he learns to monitor himself sooner rather than later anyway.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Thanks, Perkins.

This is the second or third time I've let him loose in a party type situation and he's made himelf sick. Carnivals and birthday parties - danger!

We just cancelled. Fortunately his friend has another summery get-together on July 2nd, so they'll be able to hangout and have fun at the water park.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Hec, when I was pregnant with Owen, we went to a street fair in DH's hometown, I think I managed to eat a taco potato, two shish kabobs, an apple dumpling, a taco salad, a chocolate coated fruit kabob, a lemon shake up, an elephant ear and a carmel apple before I finally lost it all. No cotton candy, though.

Some people never learn that self-restraint.

This one will definitely feature "almost got shagged" somewhere.

definitely en fuego!

Maybe the psychic wasn't on crack about abundance coming my way eventually. Not that this may be it, but you have to walk before youi can run. Allegedly. On the other topic, my stomach is just wonky. Tends to make most carnival food Sophie's Choice.
