If my world would accomodate it, I would sleep from 3am to 11am. But, my world is not accomodating.

Why yes, that is my body clock. Mornings are a cruel, cruel trick that the universe keeps springing on me.

No problem! I'm not going to have time to review things until later tonight, anyway.

I keep waiting for the all-night coffehouse-cum-high school to open up, but I am foiled by the daywalking world.

During the last horrible deadline, my team had 9:30AM status meetings. After about the third one that I stumbled into while clutching a cup of coffee, my boss turned to me and said "Wow, you really are nocturnal, aren't you?"

I just blinked at her, and drank more coffee.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Mornings are a cruel, cruel trick that the universe keeps springing on me.

yes! The biggest drawback about teaching for me is the hours. I honestly don't know how I'm going to handle having to be at work at 7:30am.

That's the middle of the night!

... okay, it's not. It's an hour before the alarm goes off. Close enough.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

"I hope you don't think I'm going to do any babysitting"

My mother said the same thing to me when my first was born. Fortunately for me, I knew my mother and that while she meant what she said, it didn't mean she didn't want to have anything to do with them. Just, she wouldn't babysit, end of subject. In fact, my daughter talks constantly of how my mother was her favorite grandparent. Of course, she's been wise enough not to say this in front of my father, who is still alive. She even bought a really cute flower pot that has a spring loaded frog in the middle of it, because my mother liked frogs.

ION, I just finished my yoga class and I'm so boneless I don't want to drive home. Can someone chauffeur me?

And, me fourth or fifth or whatever with wanting to stay awake in the wee hours and sleep late. I loved the job I had on campus at EMU: I could work 12-10pm, stay up to 3am and not get up for classes until noon the next day. Only having to work 20 hours a week helped a lot, too.
