Cindy are you watching the Red Sox game? Did you see the opening salute to Father's Day? I found it annoying how they concentrated on sons. As if no daughter enjoys watching baseball, playing catch, or playing little league with her father. And I am sure not "every" baseball player was lucky enough to have a father influencing them in their playing baseball.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Yeah, but daughters don't normally grow up to be fathers.

I realize that, but they were concentrating on enjoying a baseball game with ones father.
Are you sure there's not some sort of error with the invitation, Hec?
I talked to her on the phone. The invite just says Noon. They're driving from Albany to Pleasanton - at least half an hour away.
So: Emmett woke up at 4am with stomach pain; laid around on the couch all morning complaining about his belly; barfed an hour or so ago, is still on the couch, not dressed and sleepy, and we need to leave in three minutes if we want to get there on time and still pick up a present on the way.
He wants to go, but I don't think there's any way he's ready for lazertag today. This may be a barfy blessing in disguise, because I've got more than enough excuses not to go at this point.
I mean he's lying on the couch in his jammies, covered with a blanket with his eyes closed. I think we're cancelled for the birthday party.
{{{Emmett}}} I hope he feels better soon.

One nice thing about our Little League is that it really is inclusive of girls. Not that there are many still playing at the Triple A level (just one this year. There's one girl in the Little League Majors too. And that good catcher we saw in the tournament in Sacamento.), but they're welcome and it's no big deal. Emmett's manager this year, Elliot, managed his two older daughters on their softball teams for years, and they're both on their JV team now.
The girls do tend to transfer to softball at some point though. Just more options going up and the culture is already there.
In my own sad, pathetic and underpaid fashion, I am hot right now. Or at least my words are...I got the official notice about being in Victor's journal. So now I don't have to torture him till he likes me.(Although, perversely, part of me anticipated that.) Third biographical statement in a month. This one will definitely feature "almost got shagged" somewhere.

My cousin's doesn't seem to have any girls, but what I found amusing was that there were a lot more mothers actively involved than I expected. There may have been more mothers around than fathers.

erika, you are en fuego with the writing lately!
