That's crap, beth, I'm sorry you have to deal with it. I hate the assumption that you are trying to get away with something that those types of letters always seem to have.
Have all the e-mails been over the weekend, vw? Maybe he can't correspond while he's at work.

All the e-mails from Friday were from work. He's the General Manager of a movie theater, so I suppose he can do what he wants. It was weird, 'cause he told me he had Sunday off, but then didn't e-mail at all all day.
I know I'm overthinking this. It's just...you know...what I do.
Hey Lee, sorry I disappeared the other day before I saw your question, but I'm going to be in HMB in early August, like the first week.

OOOH. You'll have some time to play, I hope?
I just don't know when it's ok for me to e-mail again and say, "DUDE! I liked you! What's up?"
Um, never. If he doesn't email in a couple more days, I think you could send a non-questiony email. Something like "Did you see POTC yet? I did and loved it." or something. If he's interested in you and just been overwhelmed, he'll answer you. If not, asking won't get you an answer.
Signed,
Learned This The Hard Way
I hope the kerfuffle blows over, Sail.
It's blown. I was uber-nice to her in the gym and she melted. Finally unclenched her jaw enough to answer some questions and then start bitching about the in-laws. Hee.
Go, vw!! I don't think you're overreacting. I've had to do similar things myself. And judging from all the other stories here today, it's fairly common, more than I realized. Besides, the asshat deserves it.
beth, I'm glad to hear the hubby got a raise! Although, it doesn't offseet the ire with the EDD and four years later. It took me 2 years to convince the state of CA I didn't owe them any tax money for the year of 1989, I was overseas. Why they didn't bother to ask about 1985, 1986, 1987 or 1988 I don't know. But they were damned determined I owed them for 1989.

And, as always, Robin is wise.
yaeah, I gotta go with Robin being correct. It is just that I prefer a no to an I wonder ....
happily, DH is not as annoyed about the whole EDD thing as I am . so I can spit and snarl with out feeling like I am dragging him into the whole thing. really, It is just the assumpton that I was trying to defraud that irks.

beth,
Much sympathies. I was audited by NY for excluding income left to me by my Dad. When I replied that I followed their tax form directions to the letter, they basically said, "No, you didn't, you should have known X, Y, Z, even though we didn't include that, and probably did it on purpose." Yet, mysteriously, the directions were rewritten the very next year. Jackholes.
