How did your brain even learn human speech? I'm just so curious.

Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Chatting up seems more descriptive than hitting on. Which seems kind of violent. (Granted, occasionally perhaps "hitting on" is more of an appropriate image, but...ideally, "chatting up" should be how it goes, I think...)

I'm BORED. I don't want to go out tonight, because I have to leave the house by 6AM tomorrow. But there's not a ton on my TiVo, I read the whole internet...bleha.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Back from PoTC with Lee (and Jacqueline, of course).

Afterwards we had free martinis and crabcakes. We're not sure why the waiter didn't charge us for the martinis but Lee tipped him extravagantly so that might be a reason.

We've got guests coming over in an hour. I think we'll just be ordering in some Chinese food. Andy's is very tasty - they make the best kung pao - and they've got those little shrimp dumplings. Smek smek.

Run to the bookstore and buy Misfortune.

It's a big fat book with gender dysphoria and I know you like Big Fat Books and sexual ambiguity.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm also bored. I'm fairly certain that there is nothing to do in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Well, there are a few bars and stuff, and a brew pub that looked interesting, and I noticed a door that said "Ripper's Pub," with no other signage or windows, that looked somewhat intriguing, but all of those would require a car and probably other people. I have no car, and the instructors' dorms here are arranged in such a way that there's really no good way to find out if there are other people who want to do stuff. (We have no lounge here! We should have a lounge!)

Mostly lurking...

I am not bored. I am tired, but was hoping to get another e-mail from Possibilities Boy before going to bed.

Stay up? Go to bed? Stay up? Go to bed?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Go to bed, vw. You might get surprised by an e-mail when you wake up.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If you're tired, go to bed. It's no good to you to wait up for an email.

I have given my number to random guys who've struck up conversations with me. Sometimes it's something in how they carry themselves, the look in their eyes, their earrings--random stuff.

No hookups have come out of it from complete strangers (someone I've heard of but not met isn't complete), but no bad experiences through and through--at least I got funny stories out of a couple.

Because books.

Have skimmed and mostly skipped -- busy weekend so far here. Vibes and heavy-duty, all-purpose ~ma to those that need it.

Hivemind laundry question:

I bought a couple pairs of short this season (because my shorts from last summer were surprisingly too big!), and one of them is linen. They fit beautifully in the store -- but after I got them home and wore them for a day, they've stretched and loosened so much I need a belt. Like, *really* need a belt. They say to wash in cold and hang dry -- if I put them in the dryer instead, would they shrink more than a size down? (I went back and bought a pair in another color the next size down, and they're *perfect* even after wearing them all day.) Am I asking for heartbreak and one less pair of shorts? They're 100 percent linen.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Tis 105 right now and it is NOT FG. The girls have won 3 games today. Two more wins give us the championship and a berth to Nationals in Seattle. Those games are tomorrow. Any softball~ma is appreciated. K-Bug got a bit of play time today and did ok. Not great, but not bad. So far DH is behaving himself. We are currently showering/changing before going out for a team dinner at Sizzler (oh boy!).

This hotel has the hardest beds ever. I slept like crap last night. Not sure what to do to make tonight any better.

What is even happening?

Amy, I would wash and hang to dry, this time. If that doesn't reshape them enough, and they're still all stretched out, I might wash them in cold, and dry them on a medium or low setting (but you might end up with shorts too small).
