Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Boom. Hankoo.

Ded, DED, I say, of teh cute.

Thrive to spite them

I'm requesting some job~ma. There's a position I found out about that I'm applying for and I really really want this! It's more money and a federal job and it sounds more challenging. A woman in my belly dancing tribe told me about it (she works in the office).

I skipped again. This not having a laptop sucks. But, I am getting lots done.

Hugs and kisses and ~ma to all that need them.

Poor Bastet really misses her mama. And she ran out of food during the night, which caused much scratching and whining outside my door. Poor thing.

I had a lovely weekend with my parents. We went furniture shopping (they bought new furniture for their sun porch, since I'm taking mine back for the new apartment), quilted, ate TONS of good food, slept in, and all around had a marvelous time. And so did the dogs. They're so cute when they're together.

Today I'm sitting at home waiting for the AC repair man. Hope it's either an easy fix or something where they just give me a new AC. So frustrating (as Kristin knows) to bring home a non-functioning AC.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Oooh, cool, Askye, job-ma to you.

I found a dog on 95 yesterday, a neutered male corgi or corgi-mix with German-shepherd-like coloring. He's a hella people-dog, so I'm hoping he has people looking for him. If not, I now have a dog, a dog who sheds like whoa. So, I guess a little dog-ma would not go amiss

Now tagless for your comfort.

Owen didn't care for the parade we went to so we had to duck out early. He was well asleep before any fireworks, thanks to the remainder of his cold and the cold medicine. We'd spent most of the day driving home from Southern Indiana, anyway so we were all too damed tired for anything.

Cindy, I hope your MiL is ok.

Mal and Tickybox continue to be fucking adorable.

askye, much job-ma for you.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Groooooooonk.

ita: Cuba Gooding Jr. winked at me in traffic a couple months ago. That's so much the anti-celebrity sighting that it eats into the good ones and makes a couple of them smell funny.

Is Cuba a schmuck? Did I miss a celebrity memo?

Late happies to sj and Bev, ~ma for Cindy and family, and congrats to Aimee for escaping the hellhole. Also, there are too many cutiehead babies around here.

Celebrities: I was 10 feet away from Gavin Rossdale (though it was at a concert, so it probably doesn't count.) I watched Lewis Black smoke a cigarette on the back deck by one of our buildings. And I got Bob from Sesame Street's autograph. He has the best alphabet-related joke in the history of ever. I think that's about it.

Monday was Columbus's Red White and Boom. As we are crowd-averse, my friend K and I went to the local park and tried to watch from there. Sadly, we only saw the top half due to trees. The fun part of the show, however, was the gentleman setting off fireworks in the parking lot after everyone had left. It was a nice night, so we were hanging out and enjoying the radio. He starts in with the amateur show, and was setting them off too close to his car (in our opinion). Things were fine, and then a Roman candle fell over and the first ball out of it hit him in the leg! He seemed to be ok, but since the firework was now pointed toward the car, he runs over and KICKS the live firework. We boggled, and were waiting for what we thought was the next inevitable step, which would be a cartoon-esque explosion of the entire box of fireworks in his trunk. We were, thankfully for him, disappointed.

Yesterday was food coma, outdoor concert and more fireworks.

And Friday, I have tickets for Nickelback/Three Days Grace/Hinder/Hoobastank. All your SQUEE! are belong to me.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

The cutie-headed babies as the bestest.

Came into work this morning after being gone for a week and a half. The first e-mail I read made me want to go back home. Remember my assistant. The one who was gone 7 months last year because of carpal tunnel surgery and has been gone since December for cancer treatment? Her husband passed away on the 30th.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Well, shit. I got a 76 on my first stats test. Not horrible, but I thought I did much better. If my first test is this low, it doesn't look good for the rest of them, as it's going to get progressively worse. I even understand what we've been studying.
