Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Top brass lady of the family that runs/owns our company stopped by Helpdesk today to explain that she wished she could extend the early-off to the helpdesk, but that it was unlikely to be workable due to the nature of our jobs...

I may be paraphrasing.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Excellent, Aimee. Careful with those bangs.

We have Emily! She's on our couch, and has been fed pizza and has watched the Venture Brothers.

Tomorrow: waffles. Fourth of July waffles. I may have to make a flag on them out of strawberries and blueberries.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Congrats Aimée.

Oh, man, I could do with a waffle right about now...

I saw that. I don't think I can wrangle Emmett successfully in North Beach. Its pleasures are not his pleasures. I don't know what JZ or Emily have planned however.

Could you ask them, if they aren't asleep?

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Congrats Aimee!

But, then, there's lots of similar corporate and bureaucratic "logic" that makes the insane trolls laugh and laugh.

Ah, yes. Insane troll logic. I know it well.

move out and draw fire

Congrats Aimee! Please to be posting pictures!

Welcome to California, Emily! It will be good to you.

Happy Fourth, to those as celebrate it. It's also Philipine-American Friendship Day. I'm giving Mal's (Filipina) nanny a small scrapbook of her and Mal in honor.

The status is NOT quo.

YAY for Emily in California! May you find a school that deserves you.

Re: 4th of July
Due to our feelings about the current government, Drew and I are having a 4th of July Mutiny tomorrow. We're making our friends dress up like pirates and having a cookout. I'm going to hang a giant Jolly Roger flag up in the patio and make drinks involving rum.

Yo ho, yo ho, 4th of July Mutiny!

Yes, this may actually be an elaborate excuse to wear pirate garb and make people "walk the plank" into the neighbor's pool. Hush.

There's a day for that? And you knew about it without prompting? Wow.

I have no plans for the 4th. In fact, I'm not sure why in hell I'm awake right now. Except Smonster and Amyth just left (they're going to brunch with friends and then continuing on home), and I read my email and there was a very make-me-melt email from the Canadian, and now I feel like I should make PLANS for the 4th of July. Last year I didn't do anything. This year I need to....do laundry? Clean a tad, for juliana? But my fireworks-watching plans involve walking four blocks and watching from the streetcorner (it's a big hill, so you can see the national fireworks really well from it). None of my friends own a grill, we all live in tiny apartments. So, hmm.

(Dear god, *I* am the first one posting this mornign? How can that be right???)
