We hauled AC #3 into the apartment. We took it out of the box.
It is completely bashed in the back. Bashed enough that we didn't feel safe even plugging it in.
The 4th one will have a horse head rammed in the grill, I'm fairly sure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The problem with thyroid levels is that the normal range (typically a TSH of between 3 and 5, although I've heard .5 to 5 but based on my experience .5 is fairly hyperthyroid) is really varient to individuals and what is optimum for them. While 4 might be normal, it may be a tad hypothyroid for certain individuals. That's why testing T3 and T4 really helps to determine actual thyroid levels.
Oh, Kristin. Un-freaking-believable.
Holy humidity, Kristin! That's just ridiculous. You've got the worst A/C luck of anyone I know.

Oh, Kristin. I had a bad feeling at your earlier post, but thought I was being silly. I'm so sorry.
After all of this grief, they should give you a huge discount, or at the least a very large gift certificate.
Oh, Kristin, that is such a fucking shame. You would think getting something relatively commanplace as an A/C is today would be a piece of cake. I hope you get this cleared up quickly.
I have been working on getting this degree for over 10 years now.
sj, I started working on my BA in 1983, I didn't get my degree until 2000. However long it takes you, is what it takes you. The point is to reach your goal, in your own way, your own time and that you are satisfied with it no matter what anyone else says. I, for one, think you are a rocking chick and I hope to see you keep working towards this degree in a way that makes you happy and content. Go, you!
Clearly there's some sort of unfinished karma business related to the a/c, Kristin.
I just celebrated Canada Day by watching all of S1 of Slings and Arrows. Hec's math was right.
Wide fricking awake.
My alarm is going to go off in four hours and 15 minutes. Blarg.
Raq, I believe I've offended some Cooling Diety or other. Since you're in Greece anyway, think you could find an old temple and offer up some fresh fruit or something for me?
ETA: Sorry to hear it, Suzi. I have to drive a friend to LAX in the morning, so only about five and a half hours of sleep for me too.
Now I remember why I stopped reading this thread - it's too hard to keep up! Especially since I actually spend all day working at work this summer and generally have something to do in the afternoon/evenings!
Phew.
However, i did skip and skim. Fanfic is an obvious to me, but I started reading Star Wars novels at age 11, and proceeded to read ever single one then available. Kept up with the entire universe until I was about 16, actually. I think they softened me up for that world. The percentage of amateur fanfic that is pornographic caught my by surprise at first - making characters have sex with each other has never been my first thought when I contemplated "wouldn't it be great if..." - but I mostly grok it now, after my exposure.
Makes it tougher to explain, though. "See, lots of people on the internet think that Clark and Lex... um... Harry and Draco... um... Hermione and Snape... um... those twins in Supernatural... um... Veronica and Logan? Who doesn't approve of that??? Should have lots and lots of sex! And they write about it. It's fun."
Maybe that's why I usually start with "I've read entire novels, sometimes as good or better than canon, set in the universes of others."
Anyway, in completely other news, I may possibly have met a girl tonight. She's one of the new people in the math teaching fellowship program I'm in. At first, I was like "She seems nice" but with no lusting, but as the evening went on - I ended up hanging out with her and several others from about 7:00 until 2:30 - I started to change that opinion. Gorgeous smile, that cute kind of uninhibited, more interested in comfort than style.. style (bright yellow t-shirt, flowy black skirt, flip-flops), very funny and amusing, into bad 90s pop music and... has ALL OF BUFFY ON HER COMPUTER. I didn't yell that quite as excitedly when I found out, but it was a good moment.
She actually rather reminds me of a friend of mine from high school, who I always thought I could totally be with after she grew up, relaxed, matured, and fulfilled her cool. Sadly, my friend never really did that - she was sucked into the scary southern sorority world and is about to get married to a typical fraternity guy and I can barely stand to talk to her anymore. However, this girl that I met tonight is like my friend if she DID grow up, relax, mature, and fulfill her cool.
We danced a lot. It was fun.
More at eleven.
